Who should run the household/marriage?

I believe a married couple should do everything together without any of the two having too much say in something. Do you believe both man and woman should do everything equally? Or should one of them run most of the things?

In order for a marriage to work out there must be an equal amount of power for both. Communication is essential. My wife and I talk about everything and all our decisions are made together. When it comes to helping around the house, I have my chores and she has hers.
