So an elderly gentleman had a Yorkie dog that had been his contstant companion for several years. The man didn't think anyone would love or treat his dog as good as he would, so he put a clause in his will that upon his death, the dog should be euthanized and buried along side him. In Arkansas, where this story took place, it is legal to euthanize a pet for any reason. Some people are saying that the man shouldn't have done this, but I think actually this is responsible pet ownership. As the economy has taken a downturn, pet shelters are overloaded with pets that people can no longer afford to care for. They are often euthanized in large numbers anyway, those that aren't turned loose to fend for themselves in an environment they have never learned to survive in. What do you think?
