Hi mylotters!
As we know that we should use English in every responses we write and discussions we start. whereas there are so many mylotters who doesn't speak English. I'm myself is not an English-speaking too. English is my third language I think. that's why, sometimes I find difficulties in giving responses or start a new discussion due to my limited English. Whatabout you, mylotters, have you ever felt like what I feel: lazy to give response cos limited in writing English? thanks for sharing and happy mylotting..

I sometimes don't respond to stuff, not because of limited English, but limited brain power. If I'm tired, I don't think as clearly as I normally do. If I think I might respond to a discussion in that condition, I'll save it as new and get back when my brain is working better.
This is within an hour of waking up, so my brain is working, the body isn't feeling too much (a good thing.)

I think I'm just like you Elic..that's why I stopped playing Mylot for several times cos I felt so tired in using English. When I'm using English I'm just like doing Math test or something, I mean I should think hard. I can feel my head feels so hard and sometimes I get little headache..

yeah, I know from the beginning that we should use English in Mylotting. but using English, sometimes, makes me lazy to give response to other discussion. I can feel something hard in my head when I use English continuously cos it makes my brain works harder.....that's why I stopped playing mylotting for about a year cos I was so lazy in using English. but today I think my English is better than before so I'm ready to fight again here in Mylot..

i feel in love with English since I can remember it. Just like you English is my third language. here in a certain place of my country we have our own dialect, another language and not to mention that we also have our country's own language or national language and the third that would be English for global English. It might have been hard for you but what i did is watch tv English tv shows and English. read books in English something that will exercise your tongue and brain.

yep..I directly loved English since first time I knew it. though it's quite hard for me in learning it but I found that English was interesting to learn. I always got good score on English exercises. my English teacher gave a reward for me for my good achievement. And when I was in a college, I read many English texts to support my study and it made my vocabularies increased significantly..

i guess you will encourage your self to participate in any discussion to widen your vocabulary. just take it one at a time and if you want to say something but what you have in mind is in your language then try to find the words in english by using engine search. im here to also practice my english specially in writing like the correct spelling, grammar and preposition.

hi nophie! it's been long time we don't meet each other..how are you, sista? :)
yep, it makes Mylotting becomes harder for us who don't use English in our daily conversation. I envy people who use English in their daily conversation. I mean they could give as many as responses easily cos they don't have problem with English. But I won't give up. I'm sure that we're still able to make money here though our English is not too good..
oya, I found name "nophie' as a member in Indonesian mylotters on Facebook. Is that you, nophie? if yes, I have sent you a friend request, please confirm it, will you? ^__^

I'm also from a non-english speaking country. However, I learned english since childhood but I couldn't speak it so well and I didn't wanted to write on forums because I was too lazy to translate. However, in the last time I improved my english quite a lot and now I speak it OK and I'm not lazy anymore.

it's good for you having opportunity to learn English since you were child. I learned English for the first time is when I was in a junior high school. I knew one two three and ABC when I was twelve years old! I got English lesson for only about three hours a week. my teacher didn't teach us how to speak but how to read and write only. but what can I do cos it's the policy from the school. but I had good progression in learning English so I have good enough English today, I think. what do you think about my English? hehe..

Well the Use of english language on mylot is so that all the people can understand the discussions and take part in it equally as english isa global language.
I dont think that being limited in english shoud hamper a person from putting across his views to others.
If you havea view on any topic i think you should take part in the discussion what ever you english capabilites are ,one can always improve.

keep learning English Adhyz..you can try a tip from me: never be lazy to open your English dictionary when you don't know the meaning of a word. don't let your laziness prevent you to make progression in learning English. I mean by opening your dictionary you will indirectly improve your vocabularies..I tried this tip when I was in college and it worked well on me..

yeah, you're right then..if Mylot doesn't require his members to use English, maybe they will write comments or start discussions in their own language so we won't understand each other. some people here said that my English is quite good but the process which makes me tired sometimes. I mean, when I have an idea, I'll be much more easier to express it in my own language. but on Mylot, when I have an ides i should think first what words should I use so people can understand what I mean. and sometimes it's so challenging. but thank Gos Mylot let us make mistakes on grammar and spelling..

Yes, we are requested to express ourselves in english here and so far i've seen no one deliberately violating mylot rules. It's true that not all the members here are native english speakers, including myself. Obvious grammatical mistakes can constantly be noted. Some even have great difficulty in writing in english. This doesn't bother us, i think. As long as we are able to make ourselves understood, that's okay. By posting here, i believe we are also on learning process as there are many native english speakers on mylot.

yeah you're rite..the newest advantage I got from here (and I've just realized few days ago), that I could express my opinion freely. and I'm able to give opinion to a discussion or topic easily. and I did it all in English! I think I couldn't be like what I am today without being active on Mylot. there are so many advantages actually we could get from Mylot..

English is the international language for our country, we must use it because it was a rule we have to do, maybe I do not speak English properly there are words or less appropriate for me if I tried to put it in a discussion.Although I've been long enough on the internet but it is still not enough for me. I need to continuously develop the language that I use.

may and humaira, you know that english is not our daily language..
sometimes all of us(in indonesia) complain how difficult english for them
i found one reason why english is difficult.
because they never apply their english in their daily life..
they never practise their english in many aspect...
mylot comes to us and answer all our need

actually I love English since I was in a Junior High School (I started studying English in Junior High School, not like children today who study English from age 4 or five..). and that time my writing was better than my speaking. almost my friend were same like me. and I started practiced my English speaking more was in Senior High School. I joined English club so I could practiced English with other members. but sometimes, still, I have difficulty in practicing English, not only the written but also speaking. and I do agree with you that it because we don't practice English everyday. and we want it, we don't have partner to speak English with..

it's maybe because you use your local language more often than English so it makes you got little improvement in your English skill. I do too.English is International language for our country. most people in my country speak their own language to communicate each other. the language is only recognized by themselves. I mean other tribes don't understand the language. it becomes their first language. the second language is our national language. it's spoken in formal meeting or to communicate with another tribes. and the third maybe is English. all students get English at school. we get English lesson from Kindergarten to high school. but I think it's not enough to make us mastering English. so, ya, sometimes writing or speaking English is hard for me.

hi anurag!
i do agree with you. only English is a worldwide accepted. if Mylot uses another language maybe I won't join it cos I won't understand what people say and wrote here (except Mylot uses my national language..LOL). i rote this discussion two years ago when my English was not as good as today. so I felt Mylotting was so har at that time. then I stopped mylotting for one year. today I come back and ready to earn as much as money cos I'm more confident with my English today..

For me, I am okay with communicating in English because in my country, English is our main language. So everyone is able to communicate in English. But there are times I might run into difficulties when I run out of words trying to describe what I want to say, thus, that's when I will take a break from myLot.

nha..it's wondering when someone who is an English native loses his/her ability in describing something in English....I mean, people are like you who speak English since they were children still have difficulties describing something in English, and then how about people like me? LOL..people like me have two jobs on Mylot: finding an idea or opinion then we should think hard how we can express our opinion in English..it could be a hard thing to do..

Hi humairaku,
I sometimes encounter the same situation that feel lazy to respond/comment coz of limited english but mostly coz of limited idea (hehe....). Basically it doesn't mind to type in English coz it shouldn't be matter if we make little bit mistakes here coz we r not English-speaker. My major problem is how to understand n get other's point especially those who speak bad English or even speak fluently real English daily conversation (non proper/literally English). I only understand a simply standard English.

and you know what, I ever found someone who speaks their local language! yeah, it's not all the sentences in their response but still makes me confused what he/she meant exactly? maybe I'm whining with the rule of Mylot, but it's still the best way to get into it..:)

Yes, me too have same feeling and this thought too, it would be very nice if Mylot have my mother's language version...so I can express myself very well and talk whatever I want too, It would be esier for me. Sometimes I also find it hard to express so I will give up and become lazy to answer.....Then the next time, i start again ..hope to practice more English can help me to improve....so just take a break when you feel tired then start again after recharge...it actually good for helping us to improve our English....happy Mylotting

i never think that actually there are so many members of Mylot who have same feeling like I do. but it's good for me cos by knowing that there are so amny people out there having problem like I do makes me confident to use my English. I felt so tired in the beginning but after trying for long time I found myself improving, both in writing English and expressing my idea and opinion..

Hi,
English is not my mother language, so I have the same feeling with you, sometimes I want to start a new discussion, or response others' discussion, but a little hard for me, I want to say something, but I found it's hard to describe it in English, so that's why sometimes I just read the discussion, and don't post a reply, but I'm still glad to be here, I can improving my reading English here.

English is challenging sometimes. but I think it's cool having English ability when we live in a non speaking English area. and it eases us if we could understand English although little. just look around! almost everything is written in English so it's great if we could understand what written on them. Mylot is indcluded. we could get some money through Mylot cos we have English skill. I'm sure that there are many people out there couldn't do as we do..

I'm not a native speaker of English,
But i study in the medium of English throughout my school, college, so it has become my primary language..
I have seen more english movies, more comic books i have read, so i have developed my accent and i can write in a good way without making a mistake.
i never feel bore to write in English, as i know only english as a primary language to read or write ..

two thumbs up for you then..
I also got my English skill from school. but English is not a primary lesson at that time (math and science was more preferred than other lessons) so my English is not as well as other people. I love watching movies too but I can't enjoy movies without Indonesian subtitle..:D
so I improved my English skill by reading and self-trial and error process. but I think I could enjoy the result today..:)

No, it doesn't bother me when I am writing stuff down or giving a response to someone else's discussion. I think it would just lead to better English for you if you are making a lot of replies on Mylot. I think it is really helping me to speak English more clearly and helping my typing skills too.

hi, Nijo!
finally I realized that being on Mylot is not only about making money, but also making friends, getting information about everything, often I get information about daily culture from other countries, and improving my English. it's out of my consideration that more giving response or comment back makes me much more easier in finding idea and saying my opinion..

While English is my first and only language, I don't see a problem with it. Now that doesn't mean that I don't know how you feel. Despite English being my native tongue, when I was about halfway through high school, I was forced to switch from reading print to Braille. Now, braille is like an entirely different language and I found it discouraging and depressing to have to start all over and everything. Its not a plesent experance.
But, I got through it and I didn't let it keep me down. And, you shouldn't eaither. Use this as a chance to really, and I mean really improve your English so it doesn't seem like such a hinderence to you.

yeah, I got English only when I was at school so when I graduated from school I stop learning English. but fortunately I like learning English autodidact and I'm not lazy to check the words which I don't know the meaning to my dictionary. little by little my English is better and better.
BTW, why are you forced to switch from reading print to Braille? do you teach blind people? (I'm sorry, the only thing I know when I heard "Braille" is blind people).
