This 'Mania had a few enjoyable matches for me. Owen Hart and Yokozuna vs. The Smoking Gunns and Undertaker vs. Diesel were fun matches but the match of the night was the Iron Man Match as Bret Hart defended the WWE Title against Shawn Michaels. What's your favorite bout from 'Mania 12?

The IRON MAN match had to be the best that night. Both men brought it had an amazing match. Total scientific match here. The match it self had alot of memorable moments, they used both high flying methods as well as good ground wrestling techniques. Shawn talking the gold in the end was also a great accomplishment for him.

I would have to agree for me my favourite match had to be the iron man match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels for the WWE Title. Both men put on the best performance of their lives and i think the face that there was no pinfall or submission in the 60 mins made it even more compelling. The end with Bret thinking he had kept the title then finding out the match was being restarted was a huge twist to an already great match. The best thing of the match in my opinion was when Shawn Michaels got the win and finally became WWE Champion it was not only one of the best wrestlemania moments of all time but one of the best moments in professional wrestling.

Wrestlemania 12 was a perfectly good Pay Per View. Better than the one before it for sure and better than the one after it(well except for one notable match). Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels was a good match but I felt it was underwhelming for reasons that I get to in a moment. However, I would like to go with the Undertaker against Diesel as my favorite match of the night. The Undertaker had finally dug himself out of like a three year run of bad matches and feuds, with this good match with Diesel. And I really enjoyed Kevin Nash from late 1995-late1997. After his uninspired babyface run as champion for a year, Nash really kicked it up during his last six months in WWF and then during the first couple of years of the New World Order. Unfortunately, when the NWO split up into NWO Wolfpac and NWO Hollywood, that was the beginning of the end of Kevin Nash and he turned into that lazy(but still entertaining on the microphone, just not so much in the ring) wrestler that we know in TNA today. Still this match was good.
Now Bret Hart against Shawn Michaels was not a bad match but I thought it could be much, much better. The Iron Man stipulation killed it in many ways. Plus, the first thirty minutes of the match was not all that good. The last thirty minutes were good as well. I think if they would have just done a straight match with a sixty minute draw and have an overtime period then, it would have been better. Still good, but both men have had far better matches at Wrestlemania.
An honorable mention...yeah, I'm going to have to go for the Ultimate Warrior against Hunter Hearst Helmsley. This was an amusing match to watch in hindsight, given what Triple H is today and to see him get squashed like an insect in just over a minute by the Ultimate Warrior. Of course, that entire Ultimate Warrior stint in 1996 was strange. He just did not really fit with that New Generation era WWF. Not the best match, but it is rather interesting and while I don't really hate Triple H as much as many do, it is mildly amusing to see him get crushed.
