My baby has just turned 2 months like a day ago. I was wondering how much should she be sleeping? I really havnt actually timed her sleeping but everytime I go to the doctors for her checkups they ask me how much she sleeps. How many hours is a 2 month old baby suppose to sleep? Thank you ahead of time.

Mostly they ask because they want to make sure the baby is not overly fussy, and not sleeping, and that everyone is adjusting to having a new baby in the home. Each month that passes, your baby should be able to stay awake a bit longer, and play some. At two months, they still basically eat, and sleep a lot. You should notice the baby starting to look around though, and taking notice of things. They should be able to have so called play time at least say fifteen minutes after feeding, before the next round of sleep.
