Make Money: Website or Blog?

Hi everyone,
if you are seriously considering making money online will you host in a website or just use a free blog? what's the advantage of having your own site and what's the advantage of using free blogs? What's the downside for both? I have started a blog in wordpress but I am not able to make it look polished because of too many technicalities that I am not yet familiar with, could you please suggest a free tutorial on the net? thanks so much.

I have to agree with most of what has been said above. I would, however, not limit myself to just one or the other. Blogs are good and there are a lot of them out there to choose from. Remember to back link your blogs together to raise your SEO ratings. Weebly is a good free website source and they have a large selection of templets to choose from so that your site will look really professional. With Weebly you do not need to own a domain.
Check them out don't limit yourself by just choosing a blog or a website.

thank you for this helpful tip. Yes, I have heared about back linking but I am not really tech savvy, are there any good free tutorial sites you can recommend?

I'm sure there are some out there but I use a paid one myself. I paid $8.00 one time and now I am entitled to all new info that they put up. I also earn a commission on any one that I refer to them. They have a free option also but the information is very limited.
I am in the process of putting up a site, using Weebly, that will be free, to list places that are free to get helpful information like you are seeking. E-mail me for additional information if you are interested.

i would start a blog in blogger...i don't have too many technical skills yet I was able to make an interesting site. You can find scores of blogger tutorials on a web. I'd recommend trying a free blog and then consider buying a domain name once you get enough readers.
