I won´t be surfing at mylot for some days

It´s a pity you can´t put emoticons in the subject. I´d put! In a few hours I´ll go to the hospital to have my shoulder surgery. It was due for last Tuesday but I postponed after the earthquake. Iwas not going to take the risk of no electricity in the middle of it.
I´ll be staying at the hospital for 2 days for some postsurgery treatments that are too painful so they have to do it with a local anesthesic.
Then: home. According to the doctor, after the surgery I will be able to do everything but pull out suitcases from the top of the closet. I was not going to do that, of course.
But the doctor talks that it will take 6 months to heal and stop hurting and at the same time says that I can do all I want. I am confused.
I remember ages ago, when I had my daughters. The doctor (a male doctor) said that it did not hurt much. It took me years to forget that sentence enough so as not to wish he´d have the same pains as a punishment for being so loudmouthed. LOL
I wonder now. Will I have withdrawl symptoms by not posting or answering? How will I deal with that? If the doctor is saying the truth, maybe by the end of the week I will be able to give an account from the warfront saying that my arm is still attached to the rest of my body.
And as I´m a very pampered witch, I´ll ask then if you missed me. I do know I will miss you a lot. Take care, friends.

Wise decision you made to postpone your surgery. That would have been awful if there had been powercuts right in the middle of it.
I guess you could spend the rest of the day pulling out the suitcases from the top of the closet so that you find that job already done when you get home
Seriously though, we will miss you. I sent a PM yesterday and I hope to hear from you through emal. I have a message for you from another friend here who cannot post.
Maybe you will learn to type with just one hand once you are home because I can guess that you will be back as soon as you possibly can. Typing might exercise it too?
Hugs and wishing you a speedy recovery!

Back home, diana! Thanks so much, friend. I was at the hospital at the time of those earthquakes. I was a lot more scared than at the earthquake of Feb 27, even though this one was not SO big. But I was at the hospital tied to my bed and could not move. So I yelled until an adorable nurse came to help me get to a safer place. I was very scared until I saw an older lady crying. So I cuddled her and forgot about myself enough as to feel better. There were at least 5 big earthquakes that day.
Now Im home but I have at least a month of intensive therapy to heal the shoulder as it should. The idea is to have it as good as new.

I am so pleased to see you back and thank you for coming and letting us know!
That must have been an awful situation if you were unable to move
Now you must rest in order to get your arm back into full shape and then maybe when it's healed you will be typing even faster than before! Just let us know every know and then that all is well but don't over do it. We are not going anywhere and will stillbe here when you are fully recovered. Hugs!

I had that but also a sticking out bone in the shoulder. That was pressing a nerve and caused the rotator cuff problem.
I´m in a post surgery therapy now and the therapist says I´m doing OK. I hurts a lot though, but it´s my left arm and I´m lefthanded so I´m doing all I can to get well.
How was your surgery?

Thanks dawn, love! I´m home again but I know I will have to take it easy. I have a lot of therapy so that it heals as it should so I´ll be posting just a little each day. But it´s SO comforting to have so many friends!

Thanks, Jo. I´m back home again. I will have a lot of therapy so the shoulder works again as it should. But I have promised to be a good girl and do my exercises. The worst at the hospital was the day after the surgery because we had big earthquakes again. They weren´t so big as the one of Feb, 27, but the epicentre was nearer Santiago so it was as bad as the other for me. Besides I was tied on the bed and had to yell until an adorable nurse came to help me go to a safer place.
Ill take it easy with the computer and everything because I want my shoulder to get as good as new.
A BIG HUG!!!

Yeah, you can be sure that all your friends here on myLot will be missing you! Um, regarding the confusing statement by the doctor, I think you should go for the safe side, and try not to do too much just in case you aggravate the problem. If you keep safe, perhaps you'll get better much quicker. And there is a high possibility that you might get a little bit of withdrawal symptoms by staying away from myLot for a couple of days, but rest assured, you can pamper yourself with unlimited time on myLot after the wait is over! That should help you make up for all the time when you haven't been here......

Thank you, friend. I´m back from the hospital with a long way to go before the shoulder is as it should be. But I will get there. The surgery was a success but the doctor says that the theraphy post surgery is as important. So here I am, working and aching.
Take care!

Hello, Marguicha. We'll all miss you, of course, but the main thing is to get yourself sorted out. I don't blame you for not having it last week. Just imagine, if there had been an aftershock, your shoulder could have finished up where your knee was, which would have made doing press ups very challenging.
Seriously, I hope everything goes well, and I'm sure you'll soon be back with us. If that doctor causes you any trouble, contact the coven through telepathy and we'll put a hex on him. See you soon, dear.

Back to mylot, Sandra! All went very well, except that the day after the surgery, while I was tied to the hospital bed, there were 5 big earthquakes. The first one was quite big, almost as the Haiti one. I was scared because the only place I feel really safe is in my own home.
I have a month of therapy to begin with. But I will not start moving suitcases (no need to). The doctor was a darling. He was quite handsome and about the age of my daughters so I mothered him and asked him all I wanted to know.
It feels wonderful to be commenting on all these lovely answers with good wishes. I am moved by the number of lovely people at mylot.
Thanks and

Welcome back, and glad to see you put a spell on the earthquake so it didn't fire you out of your bed. Can you book me in with that young, handsome doctor? There's nothing wrong with my shoulder at the moment, but I'm working on it.

I know that if it would have been me that wasn't able to visit mylot for more than a day or two I would go through withdrawl symptoms.
Hello, my name is Dorann and I'm an addict.
This really makes me wonder, is there a mylot addiction treatment center anywhere because if there is it is something that I certainly need.

Hiya marguicha,
Think that the Doctor means all will go well and after six months
time you will be able to reach up onto the wardrobe and get those suitcases down. I would not try to reach for high things like that either or even things that are within arms reach like facelevel cupboards because mine has only just begun to heal now I can reach up more and put my arm behind my back too.
Hope it all goes very well for you too and your Shoulder responds to the treatments. I suppose you will miss not writing and posting but your Shoulder recovery is most important. Will miss you but you will be able to be back in a few days slowly but surely.
Take care hugs. Sue.xxx

Thanks, friend. It seems my shoulder is doing ok. At least that´s what the therapist says. I do the exercises, yell and swear when I´m alone. It hurts a lot but will not give up. There´s a long way to go yet as the surgery was less than a week ago. Slowly does it.

My dear friend, I do hope that all goes well with the surgery, and that you will be good as new and back with us quickly. That being said, please take as long as you need to heal before attempting to get back on here. We will miss you dearly, but we want you back to us healthy and in one non-painful piece. Until then, my thoughts and prayers are with you, and I am sending you all the extremely gentle but still huge hugs that you can handle!

Hi friend,
Ol´witches are not frail! I´m back from the hospital although I will need a lot of post surgery therapy. But noone has told me not to see my computer so here I am. The only thing that the doctor and the therapist told me about posting was to take it easy. Besides I have to do some exersices for my shoulder so Ill have less time to post.
It hurts but it has a lot more mobility than what I thought it would at this stage.
A big HUG!!!

I am so glad to know that you are back home and doing better than you had expected! I am also glad that you made it home safely. I read MysD's comment about the earthquakes and that had me worried, too. I am so sorry that you had such a scary experience in the hospital, but as usual your kindness and loving personality made things better for that other lady, which in turn made you feel better. We are so blessed to have you in our lives, my dear Marguicha!
It is great that you have more mobility than expected, and I am sure that you will be as good as new before you even know it. I would not suggest doing any cartwheels in the near future, though. *HUGE HUGS*

Thank you friend. I am very moved by all the wonderful friends who have been with me in this. I still have a long way to recovery as it is that kind of surgery that needs therapy later. But I´ll do my best.
Thanks and take care!

Hello, my friend. I hope you are able to heal soon! I completely understand your MyLot withdrawals because I was gone for two or three days this week, and it was killing me! Now to make up for it, I've been on here for several hours now today! I hope your shoulder doesn't hurt you too bad that you can't type on MyLot. I would think that you would still be able to type and participate on MyLot. I think it will help you heal faster to stay on MyLot! Typing could be good therapy. What do you think? Well, best wishes to you. I hope you experience the least amount of pain possible following your surgery. Come back soon!
