i know every one has problems, my hubby is out of work (and has been since last August) with no real job prospects on the horizon. i have a number of health issues but i am still quite happy with my life. i have a committed relationship with Jesus, have a great hubby and great kids, i am very creative and have a number of hobbies, we have a great library system in the city i live in and i can get almost any book or movie that i want (i order it from the comfort of my own house). i also have a great job (i work 3 mornings a week outside of the house). what about you?

Well, I would not say that I am living the best of life. But I am definitely happy with what I am now. Of course there are still dreams that need to be fulfilled and many other things that I want to do.. but I am working on it one step at a time. I have a great wife, a good son and that's what matters most.

every person has a problem, and no problem could not not be resolved. I also have many problems. My household is not in harmony again. although we are still husband and wife, we are now like a stranger. I never felt slumped because of this. but now I have to change everything. I am strong because of God and my children. I had to change my life to always be happy.

For the most part I would definitely say that I am happy with my life. I have a very supportive husband and two of the most wonderful children in the world. In addition to that, I have a great network of friends. If I am feeling down or depressed about something, then I have people that I can go to and talk to. In addition to this, we have been able to fulfill many of the goals that we've had for our life. Though there are some things that I would love to add to my life, they aren't really things that I need to be happy with my life.

Hey Ma'am, I've been passing my days in great financial problems. My little income source is too little to give help and support to my family. But in spite of all these, I feel happiness, comfort and peace in mind so wonderfully. Because as a Muslim I have a very strong faith on Allah and His Holy Prophet and Messenger Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa Sallallahu Alaihis Salaam. As long as I'll cherish this faith in my heart, I'll always be very happy, comfortable and peaceful no matter how much problems, difficulties or dangers I have to encounter. I believe that a very good fortune is waiting for me. Have a great day.

I am happy with my life, I guess people have their own problems, no one living have no problems. We have problems everyday but I am happy and thankful because the family is still intact and we still helps each other. Sometimes I feel sad because I am tired of thinking about the solution of the problems, but life is boring without problems tell you. I am still happy even if there are lots of downs other than ups. I can still do what I want, I can still what I need and I can still be useful to others. As long as I am living and breathing I try my best to choose happiness over sorrows. Life is not perfect but this is just perfect for me.

Generally speaking, I'm very happy with my life. However, I know there are areas in my life that I'm satisfied with that could (and should) be better. For instance, you mentioned your relationship with Jesus. Mine could definitely be better! I know that needs to improve. My hubby and I are both employed, thankfully. I have a good job with benefits, but I know I can do better. It's not that I'm not thankful for what I have, but I don't want to be satisfied with things that can be improved. My husband has a great job that he loves as well, but he knows he won't be there forever since his dream is to be a police officer (or something in law enforcement), and my dream is to have a successful career (and degree) in accounting. I think if we're happy with our lives, fantastic! We also shouldn't be satisfied if we feel there's more out there for us. Why settle for good when you can have better or best? That's my opinion - LOL! I guess it all goes back to our dreams and goals. If we aren't meeting and exceeding them, then what is the point of having them? I'm so happy you believe you have a good life as well. Good for you for having a great relationship with Jesus. That is the best thing you can possess! By the way, I have to mention that I also have a wonderful library and can order items from the comfort of my own home (and computer) as well! It's great, isn't it? I love to read, and I also have a constant supply of audio books to listen to at work - LOL. Good for you. I'm so happy for you, and your discussion made me smile. Thanks for posting!

I guess I am happy with my life for the most part. However, I know there are some things that I really need to work on. I want to go back to school, because I need to think about getting a better job. I am tired of the work I do, and I want to try something different in life. I am not really happy with my marriage, but that is really due to circumstances beyond my control that my wife is going to have to work on, but that is a story for another discussion. OK...the more I write here, the more I realize that my life sucks LOL However, I have made some good progress towards a few things in the last couple of months. I paid my truck off last month when I got my tax return back. I have also started working a second job, in which I am learning a new skill that could make me some extra money over time. I do odd jobs on the side as well, and things are starting to pick up in that department as well. I hope to have my own pressure washer in a couple of months (I actually already have one, but I hope to upgrade to a more powerful and better quality machine in the next couple of months). So, while there are some parts of my life that suck, and that truly need some work, I do have some goals that I am making progress towards. I guess life isn't all bad...

Yes, everyone does have their amount of troubles. Me? I have severe depression and have occasional panic attacks. I have tried finding a anti-depressant that would make me feel better but after trying about eight of them I found that the side effects were too severe for me to be able to take any of them. I had planned on leaving here in March and traveling. During the Winter I was going to write alot of articles and save big bucks for my Spring travelling. But instead I fell into a deep, dark depression partially due to SAD. I am not happy with my life at all. I used to work a full time job and now I get so confused and depressed I couldn't hold down a decent job. I haven't been able to work for the last four years. I have pretty much given up on trying to have any grand life and go day-to-day and do the best I can.

You know growing up I was a preachers kid so the things I have now my parents could not provide for us as kids but you know we look back and I did have a happy childhood.... Continue to love Jesus, husband and kids and everything will fall in to place.... I was in an abusive marriage for 14 years so life was definetly not peachy for me during those years.... but through all of that I met my current husband, we own our mobile home and have vehicles not new but used that are paid for.... I draw disability and work online plus going to school.... My husband have our ups and downs sometimes but we love each other endlessly....

contentment is my key to happiness, cher. never wanting what you cannot have and wanting only the things you need is a good equation into making your life happy. also, have strong faith, it helps. find comfort and happiness also in the simple joys you have with your family and friends... life is already difficult, don't make it more so...

I have to say that I can definatly relate with you on your positive notes. My hubby was also out of a job for 3 years. He recently started working a month ago and we are so happy. I run a homedaycare in our home, so that has kept us going. My numbers are pretty low because of the unemployment rate. But its enough for us!! And we are blessed to have it. So I have to say I am like you, I am pretty happy with my life.

Well basically I am a happy person but I would say that happiness is not the happiness that depends on circumstances. The happiness that I am having is what I call joy. It is a feeling that comes from knowing Jesus. It is a feeling that does not depend on circumstances but rather on the assurance that Jesus is my Savior and hence has the eternal security that He has given me is enough to make me a contented person. If we are talk about the happiness of this world then it is hard to stay happy all the time. This kind of happiness depends upon circumstances of life. Sometimes a sick loved one could make me sad. Sometimes, a mean co-worker would make me mad. Of course, the passing away of a loved one could break my heart. Indeed in this life, it is impossible to stay happy all time but that does not mean we have to become a depressed and difficult person. I would still consider myself a happy and blessed one despite depressing and sad circumstances that come my way. Indeed in this life there would be tribulations but those are part and realities of life. Indeed, it is unavoidable to be deprived of happy feelings once in a while. But the good part of it is that there is someone who could give joy into my heart. This joy does not leave my heart even if my tears flow like a river in the midst of a depressing circumstance in life. This inexplicable joy comes from knowing that I have Jesus and He promised not to leave me all the days of my life. I know that through all the trials and problems that beset my way, Jesus is with me and he will never leave me nor forsake me. Jesus is the source of joy so that life has been worth living despite the odds. I have learned to trust Him in everything that comes my way. I have learned to be thankful whether be it good or bad because I hold on to this promise that everything works for good to those who love Him and are the called according to His purpose. I have learned to rejoice even in the midst of tears because I know that after the storm there would be sunshine. I have learned to count my blessings for there are countless of them rather than dwelling on my woes which are not as many. As I start counting my blessings one by one, it makes me even more thankful because those blessings are evidences that God has been good to me all throughout my life. God has been good to me all the time. Indeed I would say I am happy about my life despite some sadness that come once in a while because I have Jesus who has saved me and has given me the glorious hope that someday soon after this tough life on earth, I will be joining Him in heaven where there would be no more tears nor sorrow. Indeed one could not experience real joy unless he found it on Jesus Christ. I am happy that you have that precious relationship with Jesus which I myself have found. My God continue to bless your life! And to end this let me please share to you my favorite Sunday School song, Happiness is the Lord: Happiness is to know the Savior, Living a life within His favor, Having a change in my behavior, Happiness is the Lord. Happiness is a new creation, Jesus and me in close relation, Having a part in His salvation, Happiness is the Lord. Real joy is mine, no matter if teardrops start; I've found the secret, it's Jesus in my heart! Happiness is to be forgiven, Living a life that's worth the living, Taking a trip that leads to Heaven, Happiness is the Lord.

I try to stay positive when I wake up in the morning. Usually a fantastic brewed coffee can make a difference in my mood. I think the one thing that really depresses me is that my family is still poor after all of these years. My mother has no savings for retirement, and there is no way I can help her. This is what bothers me the most.

Life has its ups and downs. But, having a committed relationship with Jesus makes a great big difference. You can talk to Him anytime and anywhere and He provides the best answers for you at the right time. Having faith in him makes our life's journey so much smoother, knowing that when we get to a rocky area, He is going to carry us on His Sacred Shoulder. God be with you every moment, cher!

Thanks for reminding me to count my blessings! :) I also have a relationship with Jesus. I have great brothers and sisters. I am going to be an aunt for the first and second times in a couple of months and I will get the chance to spoil the little ones like crazy. I have a roof over my head and blankets on my bed. The sun is starting to shine through the rain outside. I could go on and on... Thanks for making my day a little brighter by reminding me to be thankful! :)
