Hello Chrystal, really sorry to hear that. But I guess that's one thing almost all of us users here in MyLot have to go through. Yeah, it can be disappointing how our ranks can go down and how some people can rate our opinions negatively, but I guess that part of engaging in a discussion, what we say, or write at least, can't always please everyone. I think it'll be good to look at the brighter side of things, and to challenge ourselves to give and make more quality and better responses. A little challenge is always good. We should not discuss on star rating system. Discussion on star rating system is violation of guideline.

hi chrystaltears, look at the rating number as sometimes you can be right on the edge between 7 and 8 so that one number more or one less willmove you back to 7 or up to 8, as I had been8 for so long and wor ked hard to try to get up to at least a 9 , then for a week or two my star was 8 then 9 then 8 again,and mylot admins explained to me the percentage, and oneper cent either way will move it back and forth so you may be on that edge between 7 and 8. Hopefully we will rate you plus enough now that we will get you back to an 8 and in time maybe a 9. I do know some people on hear hit the minus all the time no matter wha and thats playing dirty pool.

Yes it is a let down when you work so hard to get up there just to find it go down right away... That happen to me a lot when I was first getting started.. been on here since last summer.... I shot up to ten and then went to 6 in one day... It becomes more steady with the more you do, and have others response to your discussions.. One other hint that I found was to build your friends list... How to decide who to pick? I respond to different discussions and if the person response back to me, create a little re pore.. Then I add them.. I feel that adding friends at random is ok but if you really want people to respond to your discussions is a good idea to see if the person's idea match yours, or a good person to have debates with...civil ones... the more you are out there, the more positive/negative feedback you will get... Its ok you will get back up there in no time

Don't care about ratings, it doesn't matter (except for the money xD), ratings go up and down, it's normal, it's like people life. ^^ Being rated down don't mean that members hate you, don't take it too seriously. ^^

Awe, I am sorry to hear about this. You don't seem like a rude person so I do not understand why someone would rate you negative, unless it is based on the fact they just don't like your opinion. Maybe you should stay out of that particular forum for a while until your rating is boosted. ;)

Hello friend. I can understand how do you feel. I guess I felt the same when my star falled down to 6. Unfortunately seems lot of people here give you negative rating, just because maybe they aren't agree with your post, but, when they agree, also if they answer your discussions, they simply forget to give you a positive rating. So going down is easy, but rise up is really a pain. In more than 6 months my rating is still there, blocked to 61 ;) Wish you more luck than me ;) See you around

yay..rating should be abolish it is often abuse but troll who are here to negate others because they do it for fun and not really aim to earn or to earn. this is lacking in mylot admin for a long time they should look on this it as the system rating sucks anyone could rate anyone whom they disgree with., everyone need to be pay for post and rating should be entirely abolish!!!

Hi Chrystal, Being fairly new to mylot, I am not familiar with the rating system yet. But I am very sensitive to ratings on other sites that I have been with longer. I know that I always like to check where I am in the scheme of things and am so disappointed when those ratings drop. Hang in there. I am sure that it will get better!

Hey I have given you a positive rating also so don't worry maybe your star will go back to being star and I know how the feeling. I will go to all your discussions and maybe rate it then you may get a 9 also. Happy :-)

Yes, some will not like your candor here on mylot and will rate your response or your discussion negatively. I always rate respondants to my discussions postive for responding to my discussion it's sort of a reward. To see if your star rating has gone up or down just run your cursor over your star and you will see your star rating at the moment your star rating is 71/100. ...

Do not feel bad about it - the ratings fluctuate and we can do nothing about it - remember what goes up has to come down one day and vice versa!! We have all gone through this problem as well
