What is the most important category in the Academy Awards?

their are many awards given in many catageories in the academy awards . which one do you think is the most important one . i think the best director award is the best catageory . whats your choice and why ? i choose director because they are the ones who bring all the thing into a single movie and they are main person in the movie . Are there similar awards for movies in your country?

I think best editor award is best because the editing is most complicated thing than othter

Best Picture. Usually a director gets more notice for Best Picture awards than Best Director. Besides whenever a movie wins Best Picture, they often r-release it it the theaters so it rakes in more money. They don't necessarily do that with the other awards unless a film wins several of those.

I like to know who won awards for best makeup. But then, I used to be a makeup artist, so I have great appreciation for that.
