Last September I had the opportunity to fly (for the first time) to Washington DC with my older brother. I loved it! I can't wait to travel somewhere like that again!
What was your favorite trip that you have ever gotten to take?

One of my favorite trips was with my Mom and Dad in the summer of 2003. We travelled from New Mexico, to Arizona, to California, to Oregon, to Washington, to Idaho, to Montana, to Wyoming, to Colorado, back to New Mexico. We attended my nephew's graduation, attended my best friend's daughter's wedding and visited family and friends in each state. We also hit 29 Indian Reservations and 26 casinos :}

I was really into Latin when I was in high school and my district had a group of Latin scholars go to Italy and it was seriously the best week of my life. We started out in Sorrento with a side trip to Pompeii where we got to climb Mount Vesuvius afterwards. Then we went on to Rome and it was so beautiful. I am just dying to go back!

Probably my favourite trip was when I went overseas for three months. That was 22 years ago. I stayed in Canada and the USA for all that time. Some of the best places I visited were the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls.

Ooo... the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls are definitely two places that I hope to visit one day - my sisters and I almost planned a trip to the Grand Canyon a couple of years ago, but ended up canceling it. :(

My favorite trip was my one to Mexico, Belize and Guatemala in 2006. I got a cheap flight to Cancun and traveled over land and sea to other destinations. I spent a few very enjoyable days on Caye Caulker. I did some snorkeling and saw nurse sharks plus sting rays. I liked it when I went on a manatee watching trip. I also went over to stay at Bullet Tree Falls in a thatched tree house. Wow! I popped over to Tikal National Park. There I climbed up majestic looking Mayan ruins. I so very much liked it in lakeside Flores. It was lovely to visit Orange River and go on a river trip from there to a little known Mayan ruin. There I heard a jaguar. On my way back up to Cancun I spent a few days on the palm fringed beach. I loved staying in the rustic looking thatched beach hut. These days I have two young children so instead of going to tropical islands and having lots of adventure I visit cities. This summer we shall be off to Vancouver and the Rocky Mountains.

My most fun trip was New orleans. I also absolutely love Destin! The crystal water and the white beaches are amazing! I am going to Boston for the first time in May. I am so excited I can't wait! I enjoyed DC when I went, would like to go again now that I am a bit older. I am interested to see what other people say in response to this discussion.

I have yet to visit an ocean. :( But I will... one day! :) Boston would be fun, too.

The summer after I graduated high school I went with my aunt and 2 cousins to Italy ! My mom's family is very italian, so it was really cool to get to go. Living in the U.S its hard to believe that buildings can be so old. there was so much to see and do. We didn't speak any italian so we had a few mishaps but overall it was nothing short of amazing. We went to Rome, Florence and Venice. We met nice people, ate amazing food and saw some of the most beautiful places. Venice is not like anything you could ever dream of, its 10 times more beautiful then any picture could show. Being from a catholic family we obviously went to the Vatican and stood in St. peter's square as the pope came out to speak to the crowed. I hope to go back someday, If you ever get a chance to go GO !
