I have one friend who published an extensive study on this and another who's book on the fruit of the Holy Spirit is coming out soon. Her's is a little bit on the lighter side. In any case, how many fruits of the Holy Spirit can you name before you have to go look it up and how has it helped you along life's journey?

Well I need not list the fruits of the Spirit again, however in regards to discernment a gift of the Spirit, it would appear to me that a clue to discernment would be the ability to see the fruits of the Spirit in individuals. How obvious is it that if a person does not show these fruits or attributes is not of God? BTW I bought your friends book *SMILE*, wheres my Samba?

I did not peek at the other answers, and I am not sure whether I will get all nine, but I know to go look in Galatians when I get through guessing. But the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, perseverance, and I cannot name any more right now. Against which there is no law. I will have to check the rest of this discussion and go to Galatians. I think I may make a poster to keep these in mind. It gives me something to strive for.

Well, my friend, notice that I didn't list them all either. You did pretty good. I'll add patience.
