hi. one way its good for the average earner to get the facility of purchasing those luxurious things on credit/loan. maybe in the beginning it looks fine that ,you don't have enough cash in your hands right now, so you can pay slowly . but if we keep on practising this habit, it becomes a burden. these loan schemes look promising from outside but can put you in trouble later. do you have the habit of purchasing many things at a time on credit ? or do you save first then go for that dream item?

I usually don't buy things on credit/lone unless I have to. I really have no credit to speak of to do that. I save up what I can save up to get the things I really want or need. And, waiting is well worth it. Sure I pay off a few things here or there, but its not a regular habit.

The only things I have are my mortgage and car loan on my credit and I was planning on doubling my car payments to pay it off sooner before I got laif off from my job last week. I do buy things on my credit card to get points but ALWAYS pay it off at the end of the month b/c with interest and all that is just too much! You're paying way more for the item then what it's worth already plus add interest to that? CRAZY!

Well i dont take loans, i never like them. Though i have dream for many things, but its not like i need them by loans. I save for it and happily get them. I feel that gives me more satisfaction and joy. I feel i aimed something, saved it and finally had it. Loans according to me, its some others money. This is my personal suggestion, but i dont say getting loans are bad.

i really am going to plan first if i want to buy something on credit. it is actually impossible not to buy something on credit when you are an adult. you need to buy car, house, and some other stuff by credit because not many can afford to buy them by cash only. so,plan first. never buy something you dont think you can afford to pay back or else you are putting yourself in a big trouble.

For me, not anymore. It's good at the beginning to earn a good credit. But even that you should measure yourself between your earning and spending before you buy something on a credit. Especially these days, the credit company policies is really crazy.

I haven't bought much on credit lately. The last thing I got was my car. It's a five year loan and it feels like it is never going to end. I still have 2 years left. I just paid off my credit card and am trying to lower my cost of living, so no things on credit for now!

I have never ever bought anything with a credit card or a loan, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing I owed someone money. The way I see it is if you cannot afford it, then you cannot have it. Those are the rules I have always lived by and I am completely debt free.

Ever since I got my first credit card, I have never used anything but it to make purchases where its accepted. I do this for three main reasons:
1. You get cash back for your purchases depending upon what card you have. I get up to 5% cash back on my qualified purchases. That's free money! No reason to use any other form of payment if they don't pay you back for using them. Most cards with rewards programs give at least 1% back for any purchase, qualified or not. Its certainly better than nothing.
2. As long as you pay the amount in full and on-time, you owe no money to anyone over the amount you spent. You can easily set up automatic payments if you are the forgetful type and have balance alets sent to you at intervals if you are concerned about over spending. If you are responsible, they are 100% better than carrying cash, as they have protection on them if they are stolen and you are not liable to charges you did not make.
3. Building credit history is important to anyone who cannot finance their own purchase of a house or car. Banks have become very weary of who they loan money to and it is important to have a solid past of proven ability to repay money when you eventually need to make a life purchase.
