Am I a good friend? This question always encounter me.
I think I am not a good friend. Because I never consider anything of my friend without proper judgment. I criticize my friend and it is a irritation for my friend. In this site too I never give [+] if I can't find any thing admirable. I report abuse discussion most often. Some days the number of abusing discussion crossed 20. And almost 80% of discussion I report abuse is deleted by the admin. People may think that I do that in humility. But that is not right. I report those only that are repeated and meaning less discussion. I have not regret on reporting. Have you ever report any discussion? What your views on report abuse?

I don't have any problem with reporting such discussions. As long as your purpose is to maintain a healthy environment within mylot and you know within yourself that you have decided to report that post without bias and misjudgement.

In reporting I try to follow the guideline. And if any thing I feel against guideline I report admin. If my report is viable then admin take action. And I have noticed that more than 80 percent of discussion reported by me is deleted. Today the deleted discussion reported by me is more than 17 till now.

Well, i reported one or two, which is something repeated again and again. I appreciate your work, but critics to some extent is good. Too much of critics will be taken in negative way. So your critics should be helpful for your friend to understand rather than irritating. I believe no one is perfect, so finding faults in others in a healthy way is welcome. So you dont discourage any one, you will be a good friend!

Report is always base on the guideline. And even it is advice to report the abusing materials. So we should not hesitate to report any abusing materials. We should keep us away from reporting in favor of friendship. And on negative rating my point is only not being similar thinking is not perfect for negative rating. Some thing not good for all is liable for negative rating.

You did it right, being good friend don't tolerate which is not right! I know you have the reason of doing that.Friendship is not base by always giving the best thing but at least we need to correct when they are wrong,rebuking a friend when he/she don't do it right.
I never report abusive discussions till now but i think because i did not noticed anything yet.
I believe you're a good friend and a great adviser too..I treasure every of your words and advises and that's enough reason to feel how good you are as friend.

I never say anything to please people. And in this path people may be irritate with me. I know well. I appreciate your response here but I will not hesitate to report against you if I find any abusing materials in your discussion too.
Actually I never try to advice anyone but always try to say what I think right. before writing anything I always try to understand the matter. I am sure that everything what have said or saying is not absolute correct.
I know that it is not a easy task to find the absolute correct think on any matter. And people have different interest, so something if liked by someone may not liked by other one.

And if you find some abusing materials in my discussion and you will report or do a negative rating on it I will not have any hurt feelings and grudge about you as I think its right to correct me, I will appreciate if you are going to make moves againts me because it helps me to improve and change the way it should.
I cannot see anything wrong to correct somebody if that is for their own sake,,I always welcome corrections, comments and criticize to improve myself and to make it better.

I have deducted by 7 number. Means 7 discussion I have reported is deleted till now today. They whose discussions are deleted may offend with me. But I have not deleted. I just report admin. And admin very those discussion and consider for deletion. With this I am also looser because I loss my number. But I do this thinking as my duty to mylot.
But I am very polite that all those are done by me for noble reason. I Think that by this way we can make a site free from overloading with meaningless discussion.

I checked this discussion coz it did not have any response but after reading it was in a fix if I should reply or not coz I really am here to respond to discussion, pass some time, make friends and NO I never rate anyone with a negative rating.
There are many people whohere who do not know how to express themselves and there are many who can really write but I feel that it would be better to correct those people then just report abuse. The admin is there for that and I leave the policing to them.
I really hope that I do not get a negative rating but thought of just penning down my thoughts.

Negative rating is not to show humility. But I have seen many discussion as meaningless one. And in response some user write some lines which are mot relevant to the topic. In such situation I am not inspired to rate the discussion as positive way. It is not correct that I never give positive rating. I just said that I have not hesitation to give negative rating. But as some one is my friend so I will give positive rating is not correct way. As three option to rate a discussion is there so I try to use that as possible as correct way.

I have not been a good friend. I am a glossy supporter, an encouraging coach, a hard-of-hearing listener, because my mind gravitates toward my own interests. Unless, the situation directly or indirectly involves me, I am obliged to offer my best advice. Otherwise, I am a self obsorbed idiot. To fix this, or try to, I envision a genuine love one in the same dilema, perhaps, my feelings for them will enable me to offer the appropiate response.

I like your way of response. It is the best way to deal with. You are right that if we are involved with any situation then we have some duty to that situation. And if we don't play our role according to the situation then we turn ourselves to idiots. So it is best to consider by other as idiot for plying proper role than to consider as wise with improper role.

So, if that is the case, you done a right thing. If I would ask you the same thing, someone also want to report you, because you accidentally post something that is nonsense to them, and your discussion is meaningless, how would you argue that? It is base on personal opinion, and if you think it is not right, you had done nothing wrong. The same idea for someone else.

Yes you have asked a very important question here. As I am reporting other discussion so definitely I welcome others to report on my discussion. If someone think my discussion as a meaningless one and they surly can report abuse on my discussion.
But we just can report final decision is taken by the admin. And admin takes action if report is based on reasonable cause. Unreasonably reported discussion are not deleted by the admin. If we find any discussion as meaningless we can report those but id the admin find the report is meaningless then they don't take action.
I myself already report abuse on my self posted discussion and request to delete my discussion. But admin has not delete those. So I think we may report unreasonably but the admin take decision reasonably.
Base on personal opinion anyone can report any discussion but always they should keep in mind that there report should be reasonable one. Otherwise no action will be taken on their report. So before report any discussion as meaningless we should keep in mind that our report would not be consider as meaningless one.
