Just a few minutes back I was searching for games in mylot and though of Cafe world that I play in facebook. One of the search results was about a guide in playing cafe world in order to become the best cafe, the richest in terms of coins and cash and having buzz rating of 105 which is the highest. I scrolled down further to see what these guides are. A lot of things were said but I cannot find the guide. There were testimonials of cafe world players saying that the guide really helped them improve on their buzz ratings. Then there, on the lowest part, was an ad about a guide book which sells $27. And I said "wow!". Is this really true? the testimonials - those people really spent that much for a guide in playing cafe world? It's just a game meant to give players a little pleasure. I didn't know many of them are competing for something I don't even know. And what will they do with the buzz ratings and decorations?
I was just too surprised to know this. Are you willing to spend for a guide in a GAME?

That much for a Cafe World guide book? I guess I'm a bit on the fence when it comes to something like this. I did just buy a limited edition guide book for the Final Fantasy XIII game afterall. It cost me $35 but I felt that it was worth it if you look at it from a collector's point of view. That aside, a Cafe World guide on the other hand doesn't seem to be worth it. It reminds me of the Farmville guide book that some people were talking about. Makes me wonder if people actually spend money to buy guides for these type of online games. You'd have to be a really hardcore fan of the game to get it.

Yeah, I actually did. It was a bit expensive because it was one of those limited edition ones. The book was hardcover (very nice) and had a bunch of illustrations and things to go with it. Since I'm a fan of the Final Fantasy games I thought it would be a good addition to my collection.

I love playing games in facebook. What i can say is that what is their purpose of buying a guidebook worth $25? For me i play just for fun and to relax and its not worth it to buy the book. I just take my time levelling up. I'm not in a hurry to become a millionaire after all it is just a game.

I would never pay that much money or any money for that matter for a game guide. To me it defeats the purpose of playing the game yourself if you have a guide of all the how to's. To me a game is more fun when I figure out where to go and how to beat the game on my own. At least for me.

That sounds like a ripoff to me so, no, I wouldn't buy that book. I don't think there are too many tricks to Cafe World. I do know some that have come in very handy...I have over 4 million coins and am at level 68...so I will share what I've learned with you for free.
If you design your stoves and counters in a way that leaves no opening for your waiters to get past them, that traps them and they can serve your customers from back there. As soon as a customer sits down food will appear in front of him/her so you don't lose any points or coins by having someone walk out. It also helps you to get customers out faster because there is no wait time for them to be served. After you change to this design you have to restart the game because your waiters will already be out on the floor.
If your buzz rating starts to fall, or is already low and you are running out of...or are out of...food, you can cover your door(s) with a wall. This will keep customers from coming in while you cook and serve more food and will not cause you to lose ratings points. When you're ready to reopen you either remove the wall and put it back in stock or you will find the door you had in stock and you replace it that way.
I usually look at the number of servings a dish provides when deciding what to cook and I always buy an additional stove or counter when they're available. I expand as soon as I'm able to, too.
Also, watch the traffic patterns in your cafe. Make sure that you have enough room for customers to walk through since they randomly go in different directions. Look at the cafes that your friends have, especially the ones who are at high levels, and see how they are set up. I never put actual money into the game and don't look at it as a competition since there are no prizes of any value offered. It's just a game.

I think it is good enough that you serve dishes that will last long and will make you earn higher. That's all and no other secret guides that you have to do. Just enjoy and play, isn't it? We need not spend actual and real money for a game. :-)
