Reading books has lost its significance to a great extent nowadays. With the advent of computers, internet and electronics media where we can see hear and get everything in a readymade state that we lost the urge to apply our mind and imagination to go through a book.Besides there are so many distractions all around that it is really impossible to concentrate properly for a substantial length of time. However, even in the midst of all these negatives around me I have been able to go through the book Five Point Someone which is written by Chetan Bhagat. The book was written beautifully and I believe that if one reads that book then he/she will remain captivated for a substantial length of time.

Hello Mageskull. I agree with the first responder. It seems for me that books are already losing their appeal due to the rise of internet, e-books and other digital reading devices like Kindle. :( Besides I prefer fast information like magazines and newspapers and I don't have enough patience in reading long pages UNLESS of course I don't prioritize anything except reading. Believe it or not I haven't read a good book for a year now since I became too busy with both studies and OJT. It felt like my brain's not being fed well so I'm planning to read either a classic book or an inspirational book this summer. I can no longer remember the last time I finished a book, but what i remember reading recently was "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. Thank God, I managed reading that book for 40 days straight.. I suggest that book to everyone, it's a very powerful and eye-opening book ;)
