windows had launch their new windows 7 but i dont really see any significant improvement compared to vista (correct me if i am wrong). even some people still prefer to stay with windows xp as they are a lot more responsive and they dont require high RAM. which OS do you think is the best? what are their pro and cons?

Virtually, you can run every WinXP and WinXP only softwares and games under Windows 7.
Win7 has this feature called Windows XP mode, it is like running WinXP in a virtual machine, but in this case, it is incorporated into Win7.
WinXP Mode is downloadable and free for genuine Win7.

Hello there clipsal..
well, for now, since im using vista, so i prefer it.... but i guess ill be changing to 7 after our semester ends... coz they said 7 is the combination of the speed of xp and the security of vista, i dont really care about the looks of the OS, i just care for the performance of my computer..
Have a nice day!

I was running xp for quite some time, but I had some serious performance issues. I use a screen reader which translates what is on the screen into audio feed back in order for me to understand what is being said. Even with all the "bug fixes and upgrades" the screen reader didn't do as it should. If I exceded a certin speed in typing for example, the screen reader would crash usually prompting a restart. Or, the system would restart on its own for whatever reason.
At first I thought it was a virus, but come to find out it was the OS. I baught and downloaded a copy of vista just to see if that a change in OS would benifit me. Sure enough it did, and its been working just fine ever since.

hi! I haven't use the new windows 7 till now, because I am accustomed to XP and I really don't need it, because my computer is not that powerful to support windows 7 without problems. and I really don't think it is that good as many say- i just prefer the "light" XP windows, because the new features of 7 really don't help me a lot

i LOVE win7....its the BEST! win xp is good for older comps and it is a HUGE jump from win vista.....if your system is not up to date...then i recommend you upgrade so you can get the full effect of win7. if you do not want to spend the extra cash, then stick with winxp...you cant go wrong with it!
