I read this in a magazine. It is a good news for all, the recent science and technology is bringing us 2 new ways to charge our mobile and portable players. Charge it through your jeans or Charge it through rubber First we go for jeans:The scientists in California say this as E-textiles.They say that this could be the easiest way of changing cotton and polyester into conductive Energy textiles. The idea is when silk is rubbed it takes negative charge. So we can make this into a two fold process. So when there is no charge then plug it in your jeans and watch it charging. They have displayed a image in this magazine.I can't able to put here because there is no scanner in my home.Sorry for that.. Now with Rubber:Here the scientists at Princeton and Caltech unveiled a new source of power for portable device and call it as Energy rubber. Now I'm going to say some technical terms.I too don't know about these just read in magazine. The energy rubber composed of naniribbons which are in turn composed of lead zircon ate titanate or PZT chips. These PZT chips are placed in silicon rubber surface that generates electricity when flexed. Huhhh..! this what I just read.I think the technology develops in different forms. It is good to see that we can charge without charger.. What you guys think about this..?

Wow,this really sounds cool.I thought the only way to charge a mobile without charger is through solar panels(that come attached with the mobile). But,with jeans, this is just awesome. Now,i never have to worry about running out of battery.

Science is truly amazing, and if these techniques DO work, then I say; "Why not?" The only thing I'm concerned about is... What are "they" going to "charge" us for this latest new discovery? cdrxo

I think I would not like the chargers that you can wear. I would probably get zapped by volts of electricity. What if it catches fire? lol However, it does sound like promising technology. Imagine never having to worry about charging your cell phone. O, what a joy that would be. Even better, why don't they just make a battery that lasts 20 hours of talk time?

So what happens when you put these blue jeans in the washer and dryer? Does the thing blow up and catch fire? Or, what if have a hot date, and the both of you have on blue jeans. Does something like static electricity build up if you lean in for that kiss, then, W-H-A-m-m-O! Human Combustion!

The charging by your jeans sounds very cool! And I thought solar powered backpacks that charge your cell phone and laptop with solar cell panels while you enjoy the outdoors were awesome! Nice to know we won't always have to think to charge the cell phone! I'd have to read more about the rubber one cause that one sounds kinda techy... Take care..

Wow! That's great! I am reminded of the lesson I learned from Kiyosaki's Rich Dad: That the world will give its wealth to those who make our lives easier to live... I am sure, the inventors and the producers of those gadgets, with right system and legal protection (patent or copyright), their contribution to the world will pay them huge rewards, like what the world did to Bill Gates and other innovators :)

It sounds really interesting, but let us see how far this will go first. But if it really is denim, i would be helped every day. No problem there. TATA.

Good idea if it comes to reality and we can used it. Especially these days that el nino phenomenon occur, my country experiencing brown out always so this tech can took place.

That's sound like a really cool idea. I hope it's up and running soon. I use my palm treo a lot for work while I'm out of the office and with heavy use it doesn't hold its charge for long. I'm always looking for kind people to allow me to plug in my charger while I'm away from home or out of the office. Wouldn't want jeans, though. I'm not allowed to wear jeans at work (minor detail, I know)!

If that will happen then it will be great invention but what if the mobile is already full so we need to look for other place to put it in since we do not want to over charge it. This will be a good addition to our technology.
