My grandson fell from the bed, bumping at the base of the electric fan then bounced with his head hitting the cemented floor. Oh my God, i was screaming in picking him up. He cried loud but after a while he's already giggling. He was rushed to the hospital the following day as he has fever. Head and chest xrays were taken, negative of head injuries but was confined for five days due to acute bronchitis. Before we checked out from the hospital, he had undergone a ctscan , just to be sure. Thanks God, negative findings with his brain. All is clear, we were all relieved from worries and that's the only time we feel we could breath well. Have you experience a similar incident with the children?

When I was a kid, I fell on the stairs while climbing in a hurry. Hurt my chin too badly and there was hole in my chin.. Needless to say, I cried and cried a lot! My mother's hand was full of blood when she picked me up... Was rushed to the hospital and underwent a small surgery. The hole was patched up ;) and I got okay in a week... I was only 4 years old... I have heard this story from Mom (while she was nagging) millions of times...
I feel sorry for your Grandson, Sir... I hope he is feeling well now...

I'm glad that the reason he was sick is not because of an internal hemorrhage. Take care of the baby from now on this is a shocking story and I'm glad nothing serious had happened and the baby is alright now. I can sense how worried you are when that happened

Thank God my daughter din't fall when she was a baby. However, she has had 16 operations in all since her birth so we also went through CT scan and more tests. She is okay now and growing up to be really smart. I know the tension that can gripe a parent or a grandparent during times like this.
Goo thing your grandson is okay now. We put rubber mats all around the bed and the walls just in case my daughter do fall down or something.

Oh yes precautions should be made to avoid them falling or hitting the floor but no matter how we take good care sometimes accidents still happened and really something we regret much after. You're daughter is a survivor and am happy for her he grew up smart, no matter what happened to them during their childhood as long as we patiently attend to them, they would really come up well. Parents and Grandparents deserve a tap on their shoulders for that. Thanks for the response.

My youngest son was always bumping his head, hard. He fell down stairs once, flew over the handlebars of his tricycle once, fell off a chair once, and several other times he hit his head hard enough to leave a very large lump.
I would watch him carefully after he hit his head each time. I know the signs of concussion and watched carefully for them. I never saw any signs of a concussion so I never rushed him to the hospital except once.
He tripped over a blanket he had on the floor while watching TV and hit his head on the corner of a glass-topped table, giving himself a deep cut on his forehead. It bled a lot, so I rushed him to the hospital. They X-rayed his head and saw no fractures so all they did was stitch up the wound.
I am surprised at just how hard most kids' heads are! They can take a lot of beatings without breaking. My son is now 26 years old and very intelligent, despite all the bumps and lumps he's had to his head.
I'm so glad to hear that your grandson is fine, except for the bronchitis. I know what it's like to worry like that.
Oh, my son, whenever he'd hit his head, even when he got a huge lump from it, would always end up just like your grandson, giggling and playing just minutes after it happened.

Yes, it's true maybe that their guardian angel are always there at all times to save them. My youngest son also suffered so many falls when he's still a baby but been a valedictorian in his grades school and presently a college scholar, but I was so worried before as I never had him ct scanned. Oh yes am so happy with my grandbaby now and everyone is treating him with extra care. Thanks friend for the response. Have a great week.
