Pakistan's cricket authorities on Wednesday made life time bans on Younis khan and Mohammed yousuf and other five players. Those players are Shoib makil, Rana naveed, Afridi and Akmal brothers.
Afridi fined 3 millions for ball tampering and Akmal brothers also fined due to their indiscipline in the tour of Australia.Kamran Akmal fined 3 million and Umar akmal fined 2 miilion...
I got shocked on seeing this news.I didn't watch the series against Pakistan and Australia...Why these sudden actions...what happened do anyone know...?

well aussies whitewashed pakistan players in tests, odis and T20s and thats something hard to digest.but knowing pakistan board, you can expect these so called banned players like younis and yusuf back in the side pretty soon considering that they just released a press release that if they want they can make those banned players play again.lol

never heard of Mohd.Azharuddin banned for life during that match fixing scandal of 2000?
atleast that one had reason but banning players for indiscipline is taking it way over the moon and their meaning of life ban is funny too.
they can play county cricket.they can play domestic cricket but they wont be selected for the national team, that is, untill they want them back.lol

hey... they ruled the junior players and they didn't play well, then this is eye wash. they are the key players, so the PCB will reconsider their decision, without senior players they ll suffer like west indies, after losing games they ll take back them, world cup also coming next year know.. but PCB decision is a stupid one, they want to see that as a game,. the players didn't play well means they ll through away from team ah, the same younis khan won the 20-20 world cup know..

According to what I heard, they have been banned because Pakistan didn't perform well in the Australia tour. How stupid? World cup is just around the corner.
Younis Khan just blasted a triple century against Sri Lanka in test not too long ago.
Mohammad Yousuf was named player of the year by ICC a couple of years ago. Inzamam-Ul-Haq praised him as greatest batsman of Pakistan.
I mean look at his record in ODI's.
9624 runs with an average of 42.39. A decent strike-rate of over 75.
Even Rahul Dravid averages less in ODIs. Such a great player.
After Inzi retired, he has played as a front-line batsman and lead the team from front and scored a lot of runs. Same with Younis Khan.
I'm wondering what the bench strenght of Pakistan can prove at the World Cup.
But this kind of Banning action is not new as far as Pakistan Cricket Board as concerned. Shoiab Akthar has been banned twice and he's allowed to play International cricket again. Like wise, Mohammad Asif.
I think (and hope) this ban is only temporary and PCB will change their decision sooner or later.

Hmm. I've been guilty of ball tampering before, but I didn't have to pay a fine for it.

This is genuinely unbelievable. I can understand why they are getting rid of the older players but getting rid of Afridi is genuinely stupid. Cannot believe it. He is the one Pakistani cricket who is actually first class.
Pakistan Cricket is in big trouble. They have some good young players but they don't really look like being close to becoming a powerhouse cricketing nation. There is no way they can compete for the world number 1 positions within the next 3 years.
Yousuf if a pretty average captain aswell. Some of his captaincy strategies on the recent tour of Australia were just silly. Poor field placements, poor selections and poor bowling choices. Not to mention how bad the fielding was from the entire Pakistan squad.

its all due to their loss in all matches and due to their in fight within the team and the issues of match fixing . the captain was banned for not controlling the players and having a check over this issue . but i dont think that this will be for a long time . they will take off the ban once they appeal in the court i think . but this is a bad move from the pakistan cricket board i think . .

Yes, it is a bad move. They banned most of the senior players all at a time.It will be difficult for new team members without seniors guidance..Lets see how they are performing...I think it will be solved soon otherwise it is very hard for Pakistan cricket fans..
