I was an asthmatic ever since I was young. Though I have overcame it, there are still times that I feel like I'm having the attacks because I cant breath and I had an attack two years ago. Food doesnt trigger my asthma anymore but stress does and smoke does too. Sometimes its unpredictable because other things will trigger the attack like being too sad or being too happy. This condition is really strange but not for me and my family because my sister also have the same situation. My brother too and my father whom we inherited the asthma from. What are you most worried about with your health? What's your condition and how do you cope with it?

I was detected as diabetic on 2004 when I had my 1st pregnancy, I was 7 months pregnant then, my OB-Gynecologist referred me to a doctor of diabetes, I was told to diet until my date of labor, and if my blood sugar still high during my labor they will give me dose of insulin, I asked my OB the implication if I won't follow what my doctor in diabetes advised me, he said my diabetes will affect the respiratory organs of the baby inside my womb. From then on, I started my diet, trying to make my blood sugar back to normal, and I made it! during my labor they didn't injected me insulin.I don't worry too much about my health condition, because I know I am doing something to be in good shape, if I worry a lot it will only cause me stress, I do exactly what my doctor told me, I do it not only for my own benefit but for my family's sake.

I think that is a very good motivation to stay healthy for your family. When my dad was sick with hypertension, he didnt wanna be told about the food that he shouldnt eat. I was close to my dad too so my mom always ask me to tell my dad to take care of his health for us. I didnt want my dad to get sick because it will be very painful if something happens to him, which is something that we dont want to happen but if he is going to keep himself from eating all those food that will trigger his hypertension, then its not going to be good for him and for us. He is a lot better now because he listens to us. His condition is already incurable but we always help him lessen the chances of getting really sick in the future.

I have all the choices to make, but I chose to follow what I think is best for my family, I have 2 kids to take care of and a husband who needs my support. And I love life that is why I have to stay alive and kicking...Miles to go before I sleep, miles to go before I sleep...:)

Cancer and weight. I know weight is NOTHING especially when it comes up next to cancer but I guess Im just that superficial and insecure in my appearance that I worry about what everyone else thinks. And then cancer is a bit of a no braine because it's so deadly and so out there with everyone nowadays.

Cancer is really alarming. We might not have it but sometimes it really makes us worry. I remembered, last month I went to see my OB and she discovered some infection. She treated it and it okay now but I was really worried after she treated it because she said if I didnt do anything about it, I would have cancer 5-10 years from now. I dont know if she told me that because she was so concerned about my condition. But she said it to me in a way that was very scary. Maybe it was one of her purposes to do that so I would go back and give her all the money that I need to pay for the vaccine. Though these are facts, I think she should have said it in a that's encouraging.

For me, it is Diabetes. This is the biggest issue I seem to face at this time, and one that overall consumes me and takes control of what is going on or needs to be going on in my life as well. Since at this time I am dealing with a Chronic wound taking a little time to heal, and keeping my Sugar levels at a decent level this is a major chore for myself for sure. But I have learned if I do not learn to take control of it, no one else will.

My dad also have diabetes. He also didnt understand about controlling his appetite before. He use to eat a lot of sweets especially ice cream. He drank a lot of coke too and other carbonated drinks. He was told by mom not to have it all the time but he didnt believe her. Until the time came that he got the illness and he really has to control now and convince himself that eating those sweets will make his situation worse. We are just happy that he is able to do it now. As you said, if he will not then who will. Diseases are non-transferable!

I do not worry about any health problems! I am perfectly healthy and I had a very mild asthma when I was 5-7 years old and I used to get wheezing! Now, it is gone as my body has developed enough antibodies! But, I sometimes do worry about getting a common cold!

Colds are the most common illnesses that worries a lot of people. Especially if there a lot of changes in the temperature and climate of a certain place or around us then mostly, there is a big chance to catch a cold.
I also had asthma when I was young it worries me if I would have colds sometimes because colds can sometimes cause the tightness in my chest. I dont really wanna have asthma attacks again as it was very difficult for me to have them. It is always good to stay healthy and for us who have some history about asthma, we should always be vigilant about the things that we do, food that we eat and other stuff to remember just to keep ourselves from getting those attacks.
Stay healthy!

I have a very bold answer for health - to keep your health in good condition may not be advised by someone. We are doctors for our own health.
Just simple -during our student class days many points were elaborated for good health in science subjects.
Even till today I follow then strictly and do not become weak under any circumstances. Thus I have a good health and rowing strong for now I am 50 +.
Hence, by the race of the almighty I do not have any health problems.

I guess you are right. It is only us who knows exactly what our condition is. We also know how to take care of ourselves but sometimes we are very negligent that we dont make ourselves aware of the things that will make us unhealthy.
Good health is really a blessing. There are a lot of people who get sick when they are older but good thing for you you dont have any illness. Stay healthy!

i use to run, jog, swim, play soccer. i love to camp and lots of other outdoor activities especially in my younger days. i've not done much lately except for the occasional swim. and all these because of my knee problems. several visits to the doctors have confirmed what i have dreaded, worn-out cartilage around the knee joints. and ever since my physical activities been reduced i realised that i tend to put on more weight easily, full of anxiety which can leave me sleepless at night and lots of stress. thankfully, my spirits are still high anyway and that's one of the loveliest things that has happened to me. i still walk and walk alot everyday cautiously trying not to overexert myself. i watch my diet, visit the doctors regularly, pray and keep looking forward in life with hopes and optimism.
