I went and took my cat to the local humane society to get fixed today. I felt so bad for the little guy he was crying and everything and I do not have a carrier for him so he was scartching me up because he hates being outside. So my question is do you miss your pet when they have to go to the vet for more than a day? I know I will miss him. His name is Happy and my brother found him in a bush about 6 months ago he had worms and was treated and now he is getting fixed I am glad he is getting fixed but I know I will miss him. I get to pick him up at 9am tomorrow. Anyway let me know what you think.

I had to take Moomin to the vet last year, he doesn't like his pet carrier anyway and he cried all the way to the vet. He was only in for a couple of days but I missed him dreadfully. No furry feline curled up on the bed with me, no silly cat purring in my ear, and the house felt cold and empty without him.

My cat's name is Happy and he was not very happy after dropping him off there. The day is half way over at this point so I am glad that tomorrow he will be home my girls were asking me a bunch of questions when I got back from taking him there. You are right he will be fine I just miss him. Thanks for the response and happy mylotting to you.

I tried to bring my cats to the vet without the use of a carrier. In fact I have done this several times. But, when I did finally get a carrier it was much easier to transport them back and forth. My cats all spent the night in the animal hospital when they were fixed. They were so happy to get home the next day and I was happy to have them home too.

Yes pets miss their "parents" also. We are taking care of Sara's ex husband's dog and he really shows that he misses Bert. We have a male dog, Chewy, he is fixed and he sure misses us when we are going to be away. Sara tells me that when I go out the door, even to get the mail from the mailbox he will sit at the door waiting for me to return. Dogs and cats become a part of the family just like small children and we tend to treat them as part of the family which I see as good they are such good company.

I know how you feel. Its not easy, but I know its the best for him. If you don't have a carrier though I'm sure the vet will give you one. They usually sell them for dirt cheep, or give you one since you came in without one. Most perfer animals travel in those. But, I'm sure he'll be just fine.

its only for a day and he will be a happier, healthier cat for your doing it. I'm very proud of you - I have a couple of rescues that need to be spayed now

oH I know you will going to miss him, just have a little patience since it is for him to get him cured. I miss my cats also when they have to be left in the vet. I am crying because i don't want to leave her and she keeps on looking at me like she was telling me to do not leave her. it really hurts. But on me it only took one day since she was just observed because she was injected by the vet with this certain medicine for worms also. i am glad she is now grow bigger and one of the fat cats I have.

I'm getting my Eva fixed on Wednesday. I am already very nervous because of a horror story I heard from a friend. She will be very missed while she isn't here. She is with me from the time I walk in until I leave in the morning.

You are a good pet mom. When I had to take mine in to the vet to get fixed I worried all night. I missed them and since I could not see them I wanted to know how they were doing. I hardly slept and called first thing in the morning to find out how they were. I was so happy to have them home! I had to take a trip for a few days, and filled their bowls to the brim with food and water. I could hardly wait to get home to see them. They did not eat much while I was gone and it worried me alot. Now I know I cannot leave for more than a few days. They were so happy to see me and wanted to play! lolol.
