you should upgrade your computer. to increase internet speed, get a faster internet connection. there are a few things you can do in windows for example turning off some services, disabling autostart of certain software, etc but this will not make much difference

What OS do you have? Its different and you have to know what you want to do with it as well. What part of windows are you trying to optmize? It would kind of help you know.

Actually there are many ways to optimize your windows OS, first by cleaning up your registry for errors, when your windows OS has built up a lot of registry errors it may cause your pc to be unstable, i use regcure to fix that kind of problem, the other optimizing I do is to stop some start up program to run after boot up, actually this is the problem why some computers are very slow to boot up, did you know that there are lot of 3rd party softwares that are running in the backgroud even you don't use it and a lot of that kind of program will cause your pc to crawl like a snail, programs like yahoo messenger, adobe programs, nero, are some of example. cleaning up your pc for some useless stuff is another way of optimizing your pc, use ccleaner its a great software and free. and the last is defragging your harddisk, defragging your harddisk will make your pc to react more faster everytime you open some application and doing some tasks, i use defraggler for this, thats all hope this help thank you.

hi! well, there are really many software programs for OS optimization, and many of them offer different techniques to do it- the most popular one is the disk defragmentation, which cleans the unsolved paths in your HDD. the second one is the memory optimization, which is really very useful! but if you OS doesn't works proper the best way to optimize it is still the OS re-install
