I have been married a long long long time and I cook, hubby cooks, our kids cooked. I did the wash, hubby has done the wash, kids did the wash. We all worked together as a family. But I do feel if I am going to stay home with the kids and hubby is working all day, I want to have a hot meal waiting for him, clean clothes for work, and provide him comfort knowing he was tired when he got home. I feel a marriage is a partnership for life and that we are to help each other in any aspect of making that life work.

Yes I enjoy cooking especially for an appreciative husband and I like to experiment more with herbs, spices etc.
My husband likes to cook his favourite menus for me.
However I do not necessarily like the 'pigeon hole phrase' of saying that "men mow the lawn" and "women cook dinner". I think it is definately up to the individuals how they like to run their homes.

Well now my friend, I find myself in the category you describe. I've been married 4 times and have always done the outside work and even taken out the garbage. But you may be over looking something here...what happen's to you if you no longer have a wife?
Personally I'm getting mighty tired of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Food for thought: You should always try to learn as much in life as you can. Someday you might need it.

Thanks, That's why they call them T.V. dinners. When I don't get a cooked meal then I turn to Banquet from the freezer.

It's not a woman's JOB to cook. I'm a woman, and that sure isn't my job. In fact, DH cooks more than I do. But to answer your original question, no, I don't like to cook. I don't hate it, I am just horrible at it.

First off, you should not generalize in regards to who cooks, who mows the lawn, that's so yesterday. Whoever wants to cook can do so, I personally love it because I know we're eating healthy and I know what's going in our food. My husband loves my cooking, has not complained yet :)

Not really but every once in a while a whip up something that I can't get here in Portugal. All the women in my family are goog cooks and love it. I'm a good cook only when I want to be. The male attitude that it's a woman's "job" to cook I think is over cooked. I have male friends who love to cook. Keeping a house is considered to be "women's work" but if I were married I would like to think that the whole family would take part and was the case in my family. We all pitched in on all the chores....and my mother worked.

I do not think it is a particular person's job to cook? I hope you are kidding around or you are single and do not know better. I like to cook when I have the time. Sometimes my husband cooks if I am really tired or had a bad day. It is a team effort.
