Would you go out with someone you know from the Net?

Funny question. Now that I'm a BIT older, I don't think I would. But I met my first boy friend from the internet. LOL. Not a good practice though. I was only 17 then anyway. LOL.

I wouldn't go out with someone I "just met" on the net. I would go out however, with my boyfriend- who I've met through playing an online game...

It depends on the person. If I like the person or I find him attractive, I may go out with him even if I just met him from the net. But I won't go with him alone or in places where there are no people and just the two of us.

No, I won't, that's too risky. What he tells me when we were chatting could be the opposite of his true self. I have heard of so many cases of rape, robbery and murder that started from having eye ball of the persons concern. I don't want to be the next victim.

hell no!!!! its really very hard to trust people these days. i cant date a guy with peace when i see him on a everyday basis or i know him through a common friend! i personally don't trust people easily and i think online relationships would suck the most! what if u don't like him after seeing him? his attitude or way of talking or looks?? it would be a blind date eh lolz :) well have u dated someone online!!!????

Yea I would, but sure, that i would have to know that person a long time. And definitly i would have to meet this person in a public place anyway. I lost a trust in people somehow, but i don´t think that a cheater would chat with me for example 2 or 3 years if he would have some bad intantions and could get what he wants from someone else way easier. Sure i wouldn´t go out with a person who i know few months or few weeks. That stupid i am not anymore.

It depends, if you knew that person very well then possible i would like to meet him/her in person. There were some that you just meet in net but you will have find a good friendship with them as the days goes along with constant communication.

I would meet someone I met on the internet in person. I know meeting someone I met on the internet is risky. That person could be telling me what I want to hear on the internet and could be totally different in person so I would be careful. If I'm ready to take that next step and meet face to face I would set the date up in a public place, come separately to the date, or ask if we could double with a friend. It's always better to be safe then sorry. If the person is the same person as he/she is on the internet then setting up a second date is in the cards (but always be careful).

mostly i will not plan to do this,internet is something different from the real society, the net is ficticious, we can do what we can't do in the real life. you can change the way you talk, and pretend to be another one. maybe we can change our mind and talk freely on the net. but if we meet in the real life, probably everything will be changed.

Ohh a big YES, I would not limit my acquitances to my friends of friends, neighbors, activities, school or anywhere. Before I am into chatting so I've meet a lot of guys online. However when I meet this particular guy I didn't hesitate to meet him in person. You may find it unusual because I agreed to meet him in his hotel room. You think what kind of a lady I am? But I can assure you, nothing happens intimate to be direct. We went out and have dinner outside then after that he went to my place. He turns out to be a very gentleman and the dating went out. Then now we are 3 years in a relationship and still counting many more years of togetherness. He already meet my family and he visited in our hometown 3 times now. I've meet his family and my family meets his family as well. Everything went fine because I didn't hold back for any possibility. However I know its also too risky.

i will why not? If we have known for a period of time,we have spent lots of time on chatting, sharing thoughts and views and everything, why not? But if you ask me to go out after an hour of knowing just your username name, or log in ID its impossible. But if friendship was already there, and you seems to know each other in talking wth him glancing at him/her over the webcam for a year or more then I will go out with him for the sake of our friendship..

No. Or maybe it can happen if I have known this person from the net from quite a long time. But I don't think it would happen. This person could have two heads (joking) or could bring her 13 cats for example with her :) It is a risk I think...no one knows what a freak or a person that's not your type can come. So it is just a waste of time. thats my opinion, of course :)

Of course because she might be very hot :D if you really want to meet her then go for it. It's an opportunity for you to be acquainted with her and know her better. You haven't posted much detail to your discussion. What if she hasn't agreed to go out with you? :D

Yes, I would--- considering that I've known that person for a relatively long time and know each other well... Right now, there are exactly TWO guys I know I would go out with. Actually, I will go out with them in the foreseeable future... Meeting someone as special as they both are are a once in a lifetime chance. I got lucky. No way am I going to waste it. =)
