Child-like seems to have a more positive connotation. It is likening something to the positives of being a child. Such as: "He had a child-like look of glee in his eye."
Childish is generally negative. Such as: "He is being rather childish when he pouts like that".

Being one often told that I am child like, I can say... nope, they are definitely not the same, as others have already explained ;)
My child like qualities have to do with the fact that I am known for...
Still coloring with crayons in coloring books
Wearing brightly colored kids bracelets and earings
Wearing brightly colored patches on my jackets
Wearing crocs (garden clots) everywhere, year round
The fact that I LOOOOOOOOOOVE to blow bubbles
My belief that babies, kittens, blueberry cake, and a kids laughter can heal anything
I still play in mud puddles and stop along the way to make snow angels

Child-like is more like innocent and honest "like" a child. The other term, "childish" means someone is being immature and acting like a little child. Childlike can be a positive term where childish is negative in connotation.

I think they might seem to be the same in many ways, but really they actually have very different meanings. A child-like person is not necessarily immature. However, they are mostly ignorant to the harsh realities that many of us are forced to face on the day to day basis. They look at life as nothing but brightness and optimism. They are not jaded at all.
Being childish on the other hand, well childish people can be jaded. In fact, they are lashing out, acting far less than their age as well. In fact ,there are some people who act so childish, that I have seen children, toddlers, act more mature then them. They can act mature, they just choose not to and thus it can be rather frustrating.

hell0!A good question by the way
wel, i am not that good in English, but I really don't think they are the same, because childlike means that the person who we say is childlike, is a person who behave like a small kid, a person he is a little bit stupid and says sentences like the kids do.
and childish is the adjective for something that belong to some child, or something which is possession- it shows the possession of a subject to someone or something!
