Ever Came Accross Invisible Mylotters who do things Secretly ?????

I am convinced that there are many other invisible activities taking place on here. You know that I skate around all over the place and I see many things in my travels. I have seen a profile (again) with many friends and no activity and have also reported it too

add tags to your posts, and you'll stop that problem

Bro, really? I didn't know that.. Now that's really uncalled for and a form of abusive tagging. I've always make it a point to fill in my tags so that it will be fully shown on my discussions.. only sometimes I leave a few for others to fill in. I think in future you might want to do that, so that there won't be any that might abuse the system.

Trolls - all you can do is keep reporting this kind of activity and let Admin do their job. But not cool, not cool at all...

They haven't tagged my discussion but I do have a feeling someone is giving me bad rating because we didn't agree on another discussion. I can't go in details but I am trying to ignore this person and I noticed after this happened I keep going down. I am not going to respond and am just avoiding all contact. I figure soon they will go after someone else and I will go back up to 10 again. Which was where I was before this happened. So yes I know it happens you just have to remember just because we are over 18 in age doesn't mean people act like it.

The world is full of weirdos.. I wonder, what these people gain by doing such crazy things. Of course, no one would rate it negative, because there is a tag saying that... LOL... And these fools don't understand that? Sunny, I don't think these taggers (can I use this term?) can affect any of genuine articles... Hello sunnycool :) How mean for that mylotter! He/she should really get a life. I'm glad that it has already been reported, but I think what he did was just a waste of time. I believe most mylotters are intelligent and most users here would rate a post depending on the quality of the response. But I agree that those people should not be tolerated in this site and as active mylotters we should do our best to make this a clean site. Anyway, just thought of looking at the mylot population and I'm glad that it already turned to 200,000+ users. But I think it would be all worth it if mylotters follow the rules and won't harm other people. Take care and God bless.

Hi Sunny! There are people who cannot take it if one responds or comments against to their point of view. And they do get into personal attacks. This is bad. I have seen this kind of incidences on MyLot. And having a grudge on someone and doing things that you have mentioned shows poor taste of those who are resorting to such acts. I expect MyLot to take measures to control or banish this kind of activity. Happy Mylotting!

Hello sunny, When i am a newbie here,these trolls my friend keeps mentioning to his discussion and he is giving us some warning about these silent(trolls)mylotters. I never thought those trolls are now scamming here again. We should be vigilant about this. Thanks for this warning then

I do not think that I have come across those types of tags lately, but I have seen some of them in the past. Things seem to be a lot better now (or at least the inappropriate things seem to disappear a lot quicker), which might be why I have not noticed them. Also, I have not been on here as much and have not had as much time to explore, so I have not been paying as much attention as I used to do. I know that there have been inappropriate tags on my discussions in the past, but fortunately they have not been bad enough where I have had to report them - or at least none that I have seen have been that bad. I am sorry that this happened to you. I do know that I was being negatively rated for a while, since my rating dropped several points (and sometimes a lot more than that) overnight not to mention that my star went down a few times when this happened. I know that this has happened to many other people, too. I am not sure why certain people become targets, but I am sorry that you are the one that they are focusing on at the moment.

yeah i guess that is true. i think i have come across some mysterious mylotters aswell. not everyone on here uses mylot very frequently. also some are more under the radar than others... its good to know that we all get noticed eventually though.

Wow, I never knew that someone could do such a thing...What is their purpose anyway of doing that? It's better that we all can get along here than trying to eat each other back, don't you agree? Anyway, I think the admin in MyLot would notice it sooner or later.

I guess they are your silent 'admirer'. They maybe trolls who are out to destroy the peace in this site. Go ahead and do what is right..report them immediately.

wow for the first time i am getting to know about this sort of an activity... there is a possibility to tag without responding.. but this sounds like a very weird to exploit it.. it should be stopped... people who add these tags should be warned severely and their accounts should be terminated if this persists or even ban their ip to keep mylot a good place

I did not know you could tag without responding. I see only the tag option when I respond. I will not waste my energy figuring out how to do that, however someone who is disruptive to the point of adding inappropriate tags should be reported in my opinion. The problem with the rating system and the tags it seems to be a way of disagreeing with the post, instead of rating the post. Nobody should have a rating less than 10 star unless they are completely boring or borderline illiterate. It reinforces my opinion that these ratings are for the use of the trolls rather than the majority of persons who use the site. Most persons do not bother rating the posts. I happen to rate anyone responding to my original posts with a +, apparently not all do. I suppose if 2% of the population causes 98% of the problems, it follows that 2% is here too.

That is interesting. I am wondering why some peoples ratings went down so low in one or 2 days. It seems someone was working very hard to try to bring people low. I have not come across a tag yet, but you know what? I haven't much paid attention to them. I will be on the lookout from now on. Thank you for bringing this subject up. Happy Mylotting!
