Are you mad at me?

Ok, I'm not really worried about anybody being mad at me today. Tomorrow, who knows?
But if you were mad at me because of something I said on here, would you come straight out and tell me?
If yes, would it be in a discussion straight out or would it be in a PM (or e-mail if you have my e-mail addy)?
If no, would you delete me or just avoid me or what?
In principal, I'd rather somebody came straight out and told me and we tried to work it out (if it was workable), but in reality I'm kind of a chicken sh*t.

Hi,
I hope you don't mind me replying, as we don't personally know eachother, but thought I would give me two pence on the subject. It depends on what scale the action was that angered me. So for example, if it was just a statement that I disagree with, I wouldn't waste anybodies time making a big fuss out of it, but I would reply saying why I disagree, and back my statement up, in a friendly manner. What's the point in arguing?
However if it was something that was said as a direct insult to me, I would ofcourse PM them asking why they said it, why they think it and try to resolve it. I don't like to fight about something, but if they don't like me, then it's simple, we part ways! No point in having a long drawn out argument about it is there?
Lee.

Nobody is mad at me (that I know of), but I did see several things going on between other members.

Yah I'm mad. Too right. It doesn't take much to get me there. Just a look - "What you lookin at" and I'll be all over like a rash. Oh, mad at YOU! Nope. Why should I be. You do something that I'm not going to like. By the way, who was in the toilet taking that photo of you photographing them stuck in there. I've heard of cleaning under the rim but that's taking it a bit far!

I don't see any reason to be angry with you. O, wait......I am. I still have not taken a shower! It's your fault because now I must respond to your discussion. Just kidding.
If I were angry with a friend on here, I would have the respect for them first to weigh the situation: is it important enough to bring up? Is it a hang up of mine? Would this situation as it stands hurt our friendship? Is the person doing harm to themselves and should I intervene in this? I take a very long time thinking about these and other questions before I speak to anyone about what might bother me. Then of course it is done in private. I would not wish to embarrass someone or cause others to look at them negatively. I think it would be tacky and in poor form to state something in a message online for all to see.

Nah, for me.. I'm pretty tolerable here in the lot, as long as it's not purposely downright rude with an intention or something. Most friends here including you, Dawny are might fine..and I like all the jokes, funny sarcasms, advices, matter of facts and whatnot.. it keeps me on my toes.
But just for the record, I like to keep things private when 'settling' things. More discreet for me, at least..

I don't think anybody could make me mad on here. I realize it is the internet and people are just having fun. There is no point and getting mad at someone for something they posted here. It amuses me when I see responses that seem as if someone has been offended.

Who can be mad at dawnald? But if I were (which I'm not), I'd probably say something in a comment after the comment you made (if it made me mad) that might let you know how I feel. I don't delete or avoid anyone here . . . it's all good on myLot as no one has seriously pissed me off (yet).
I might try to duke it out with you and make you say "Uncle" . . . then make you bake me a batch of those famous dawnald brownies!

Hey ma'am,
Sometimes I encounter with such response or comment with opinions that is quite unacceptable to me. In such cases, I behave being very patient. I try to convince him/her into my positive statements. But I don't get mad at him/her or delete him/her. What's the use doing that? I'm hopeful that one day he/she'll realize the mistakes.
Have a nice day.

Depending on what was said/the discussion, I could see myself doing all of the above. For example, I had a discussion, better described as a screaming match, the other day with someone, where foul language was being used to describe everyone who didn't agree with her. If she was a friend, she wouldn't be any longer. I would have deleted her. And if she hasn't been thrown off MyLot, I would/plan to avoid any discussions with this person. Completely ignore this person and any discussions she may be a part of. I can't imagine, even if you're upset, a discussion like that one with you. So, I'd either say something in the discussion, or I might PM you, but I seriously doubt I'd delete you.

I tend to avoid screaming and foul language more days than not. :-)
I think I saw some of that screaming match. Over religion?

Nope, politics, just as bad. It was over whether the leader of Iran was a monster...and Bush and Hitler were both war criminals or something like that... I was even told to get off MyLot by this young lady. But then she called someone else a f***ing something or other, and all heck broke loose. I haven't see her in the political discussions the last two days. I think she went way too far for MyLot. It'll be interesting to see if she ever comes back to the discussion table.

I'd send a PM and see what your reply was. I don't argue in discussions, I don't think it's appropriate and if you upset me it would be between me and you and other members shouldn't be involved.

I might argue a point in a discussion, but if I had a personal issue with somebody, I'd PM.

Hi Dawn. Mad at you? You've got to be kidding! How could anyone ever get mad at you?
If I disagree with you or anyone else, I will politely put my opinion, with respect for other opinions. If I am offended by the content of a discussion, I will more than likely just pass by without commenting.
I don't think I've ever been MAD at anyone on myLot, though sometimes I have wondered about their powers of reason or their state of mind. IF I was ever angered by something a friend said, I would most likely PM them, or just ignore it, or maybe (depending on the comment) reply to it in the box. If someone I didn't know made an "off" comment, I would probably laugh about it, as when one young lady told me "Idiot! Get an education!"

I looked at some of her other postings, and laughed even more - and yes, English is her first language, so no excuse.

hi dawnald I cannot really imagine being mad at you, as you are
not a malicious sort of person at all ,but if I was even a bit
upset with you I would just Pm you and not blast it all over the '
web. I am an easy going sort and not a bit confrontational at all.'
I still cannot think of any way you would ever make me mad at you
though. If you are kind of a chicken sh#t so am I, I hate being upset
or upsetting someone else.

Dawn dear, we all have those moments. :) But if we dont mean to hurt another person, all we need to do is apologize and explain if necessary. :) Compared to you, we who are not English speaking people have more problems! Luckily, everybody is so accommodating. :)

In real life and also in life here on mylot, I will always confront the person that has made me upset. This is a lesson that I have learned the hard way in my life. I have had times that I've been upset about something and I've gone to another person with my concerns and then it ends up in a huge mess because the story gets twisted and people's feelings end up hurt. It is for that reason that I say if I do anything on here to make you mad on here, I would appreciate it if you would come to me.
