Hello I got one last night on the way home from work from my second job. He said he clock me 55 in 35 mile zone. This stretch of road for like 3 miles changes because of the curves and hills. But where he got me it was from red ligth to another like 500 from each otther and I saw him and I always slow down when I see green light because I never when it will turn yellow or red so I was breaking. Well I was like 1 mile up the road another cop got me saying you were speeding in front of partner back there? I said the speed limits change once you are passed the red light it back to 40 miles per hour and I was only going 45. yes, I was over the speed limit but not as much as he said I did and this officer said I slammed on my break... there is no way I did that. I saw him and slowed down and breaking as I went. I paid the ticket of $120.00 but I was licky he gave me no points. But still would you have fought this ticket? Thanks Unique16

Probably not. It is pretty hard to beat a ticket. And the stress of fighting it would most likely be harder on me than paying the ticket. I got a warning once, and to this day I don't see why he pulled me over. The reason he put on the warning for stopping me was not the reason he told me when he intially pulled me over. If he had given me a ticket, I really would have been tempted to fight it. I'm just glad it was a warning.

Hello AmbiePam, Thanks for the reply. I am glad you got off with just a warning. I can turn off to avoid this section of the road that leads me back furhture down the road to get me to my job and the speed limit on this section is higher. I just have to get into the routine of using now instead of straight through. I rather pay few peeneies more for gas then a speeding ticket. Have a great weekend Sincerely Unique16

In your case I wouldn't have protested it however in the UK I would have as it works differently. But then again if your speeding, your speeding & we all know the consequences of doing it but we all still do it. I would have been annoyed at getting caught more than anything else. Just look a bit further ahead next time MrsL x x
