Some funny things can happen in life sometimes but this is the most crazy thing Ive heard so far......or maybe not!!
Im in Canada and a lot of people grow pot in their houses. They're very well equipped and they grow large quantities. At times, they're being busted by the cops and they get a slap on the hand and a fine. No big deal. But when it happens, they seize everything, pot, equipment, house, cars, all of it.
After the legal process is over, they then sell the cars, house.......and yeah, you guess it.....the equipment to grow pot!!!!!!!! haha....It was on the news today. The Government of Quebec is selling all the necessary equipment to grow your own pot in large quantity right in the comfort of your own home.
Is there any logic to this? I dont know. Are they selling it to find out who will use it? So they can seize the equipment again, then sell it again, and on and on or are they simply downright stupid?
I think they're stupid.....the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing!!
What do you think? Would you buy that equipment from the Government?

Got a chuckle from me ha ha,,, who in heavens do they sell it to ? Thats what i am wondering. i doubt anyone in their right frame of mind will want to buy the utensils
from the goverment, its like an invitation to attention." sell the pot growing equipment to me, mr. goverment man .hey i am going to use it to grow tea leaves.maybe??
Luckily that stuff happens in Canada, over here in Malaysia, if they catch you doing the same thing, they ll hang you by the neck! No Joke!

Hi Bryan, well I guess that people from all over the world come here to buy their pot...or have people here to grow it for them. Yikes, I didnt know it was that bad in your country that they "hang" people for growing pot!!! Oh its already been sold apparently, so they dont care, whoever bought it will turn around and sell it to someone else who wont know where it came from and probably get busted again!!
Thank you!

LOL...what a good chuckle you gave me! Nice to know that it isn't only the US government that does stupid things! It's ridiculous that they would resell the equipment that is illegal to own..unless maybe it can be used for growing other "crops". If it's specific to only growing weed then they should destroy it but likely it can be used to grow anything like orchids which are very fussy little plants that need precise environments to grow well.
And no very little surprises me anymore but at least I still get a laugh out of it! Take care

Yeah, it seems pretty silly doesn't it?
Crazy. I agree that the right hand has no idea what the left is doing. Appears that way anyhow.
Dumb.
I likely wouldn't buy the equipment from the government for the main reason being that I don't like to use halogens. Those lights scare me and is what is most commonly used to grow pot. If I were growing commercially, vegetables and flowers, then halogens would be an impressive option for lighting but would rather stay away from that type of lighting system.
If there were racks and such, I may take a look at those however, since sometimes a person can get a real bargain from the government auctions.
I think when the government resells the equipment, they are hoping that legitimate growers will purchase. Not sure..
Maybe they put a tracking device on the lighting systems and watch who actually buys them. lol
That wouldn't surprise me either although that is a bit brilliant so maybe not since it appears there is a lack of common sense.

Some people just want to make money. So they don't realize it. So... here you have them selling stuff knowing it may reappear, so they can sell it again for the money. its all about the money. Somewhere along the line money talks.

Hi, yup, money sure talks loud and clear with this situation. Of course it'll pop up again...but why go through the trouble of selling it all...that too costs money. They dont make sense anymore if you ask me.
Thanks for replying

I wouldnt if i did grow but i dont i think its stupid because there turning around and selling the stuff they seize then they probably wait a couple months to the stuff to be set up and have it grown a bit then they will turn around and bust you just to give you a fine so they can make a little bit of money i think its stupid and the goverment should have to despose of the equitment instead of taking peoples money after selling the stuff to them

Hi, well Im not sure they would even bother to bust the people who buy the stuff after a while but it would be a good idea if they did though. Who knows what is going on with the government lately!!
Thank you
