Do you sometimes get annoyed of listening to somebody?

It's always good to be a good listener, but you know when they keep on going on about a story it gets boring and espesially when they don't let you get one word in. When this happens to me I just no my head and say oh because I have just stopped listening. Well I don't know who else does this or do you just love to listen to someone just talk and talk on.

The person that I hate to listen to the most is my husband. He knows how to take a short story and make it long. He also gets on a subject and stays on it for days. After the second or third time of hearing the same thing I just tune him out because I already know what he is going to say. If I tell him that he already told me this he gets upset and says that I just don't want to listen so I pretend to keep listening and all is well.

Why don't you invite your husband to join you here in MyLot? I think he will make a good MyLotter here... taking a short story and make it long!

Yeah,when someone keep on talking something again and again,I will get annoyed with it. I think I am a good listener,too.Lol.So at that time, I would not disturb her talking but I don't want to discuss with the things and just keep silent.For a few minutes,she will stop when she found no one give her response.

Oh yes, this happens to me too. I have this friend who just loves to talk incessantly about his idiotic boss, and he keeps repeating the same old story everytime we meet. I have to change topics everytime or make an excuse to leave. I know what he needs is a listening ear. I gave it to him but I can't be expected to listen to his old stories all the time.

I would, if that somebody won't stop talking about himself and don't let others have a chance to speak up. I really hate those who monopolize the conversation, and always begin with their sentences with "I". I am a good listener when I am also being listened, otherwise, just..talk to the hand.
