Difference between laptop & mini laptop

Hi tomjohnedatt, Not many different between laptop and mini laptops. All the functioning are same. But, not only the physical size of mini laptops is smaller but also the storage capacity also smaller. Most of the mini laptops has 80mb storage capacity. While in newest type of laptops has DVD/VCD player is build-in, mini laptop does not have this feature. You need to buy the external DVD/VCD player for most of the mini laptop.

Laptops are have high processor speed and it's larger screen whereas Mini laptops have small screen size and low power processor thus it's power efficient because it was optimized for that. For me I would recommend HP Mini because that what i been using for awhile now and so far it's been working very well. It suits my need just pure browsing and email.

Laptops are more powerful than mini laptops that's why you will notice that laptops cost higher than mini laptops. Laptops are more powerful because it has a higher specifications. Common mini laptops has low processor, low capacity, and doesn't have a good video card. Mini laptops are more used just for surfing the web and using office applications. But if you are a graphic artists, gamer, and the likes, then you should go for a laptop because it has a higher graphics and higher processor. It can run the games and softwares very well. Well the smaller laptops have lower specs, for example they usually have lower processing speed and a smaller hard drive. The benefits are the small size and increased portability.

there is quite difference between laptop and mini laptop.......mini laptop name changes according to the user.....if it is used by me it is what we called as panchi laptop,by u it is called thomman laptop..... and u want to kno abt the size right, it have mainly two types mini screen and big screen... mini screen that may vary frm 8 inch to52 inch.....and big screen from ten feet to 20 feet i think it is better to use big screen.... onnu podappaaa aventa oru doubt.......................................

A mini laptop can cost a lot more in the long-run. Its not like a laptop. mini's are about the size of a portable dvd player, and are a lot more compact. They don't have any drives like cd/dvd, and those have to be purcheshed seperatly. In addition to that, the price. While they are cheeper by nature, the number of external componants may not be worth it.

I dont know much but what ever i know. mini laptop is designed for general usage. they have intel atom processor and a 11 inch screen or lesser even. they are of lesser weight and easy for handling due to this. in short you can say a low end system for you at lower price
