I have been to many places but I have not yet tried travelling by ship. I also wish to ride a ship but not for long trips. I don't know but I guess it's safer to ride a plane. I wonder why some people would choose riding a ship rather than a plane. Well, we have our own reasons. But in my next trip, I guess I will still go for an airplane. How about you? I have never travel by ship. I must admit that I really don't know how to swim- maybe this is the reason why I don't travel by ship. However my friends told me that I don't need to worry because in any case of emergency- there is always life jacket.

travel with anything does not guarantee will be safe from any disaster that sometimes can happen to us. I read from newspaper people can hit by a car while walking on the sidewalk, the plane fell on a house and people don't have time to escape, boat sank due to overloaded. I have never boarded the ship, and before I go to somewhere usually I pray.

I have traveled by ship once and I can't say it is somehow unsafe. There aren't much accidents that ships are involved in. There is also a high possibility of surviving the accident, because most of the ships are provided with special rescue equipment, like life boats and life jackets. I think that the biggest disadvantage of ship travel is the low speed of ship. But it's one of the most comfortable means of transport for me - you almost can't feel the movement of the ship and on cruise ships there are many entertainment facilities, so it's a pure pleasure to go on a naval trip.

Yes, I have tried it some twenty years ago when me and my family went to the our province which is 18 hours travel by sea. I was very nervous throughout the trip because I was with my kids and parents. What got me nervous was that I don't know how to swim, how can I save my kids who were then 5 & 6 years old, if the ship sinks, though the ship is so big, a Super Ferry, and we were not congested, still I was very nervous and the trip was so scary for me. But the children got to enjoy the trip and the amenities inside it. They have also seen the dolphins following the ship. It was really an experience for them.

It is part of my business of exporting fish internationally that I get to ride on ships from coast to coast in search of fishes. I love fishing as well so I can stay on a boat or ship longer than anybody else.

No, I have never gone anywhere by ship. But it's something I have wanted to do someday for quite a while now. So hopefully I get that chance sooner or later. I've always thought it would be really fun to take a cruise somewhere.
