new rule in Australia if the cat is not registred there will be a fine if caught and it has been like that for that awhile but now if the pound finds cats on the street and even dogs they will take them if not registrd then you loose your pet god made these creatures and they want to take them of the streets how creul is that.

Do you have proof of this law. I would like to know more as I have a cat and she roams in and out of the house and I'm in Tasmania.. Does that count as well.

Hi hopejordan That's terrible! I never heard of such a rule like that. You mean they won't give you your cat or dog back when you try to get it back? I'm hoping to find an article about this. You see I'm very much involved with animal groups over at Facebook, and I bet they never even heard of this

yes it is and your not allowed to let your cat out at night and they say even day time but i let them out it important for them to go out its because they kill alot of birds thats what they say but i dont do that to my cat unless it is a very big storm or something like that that rule has been for a couple of years and that is creul stray cats they but it down cause they say there is too many of them thats why i desexed two of mine now i have to register them througth the council to get them micro chipped it costs money which i dont have but if they are kittens they wont take them i think it needs to be 6 months for them to take them.

well, Australia has a terrible time with "alien" animals killing native wild life, so I can see that they want to keep track of pets and dispose of animals that are lose and unregistered True, God made these animals, but He didn't put them in Australia, man did.
