The Gaming World

Many people, I myself once, have been soaked up into the world of online gaming as if it were another life. I sometimes think is this a benefit because these people can use the online virtual world to gain their own sense of belonging in a society along with fun or is it making them a hermit and isolating themselves from the real world? Is it an age thing? Or is it really just not that serious?
