Teenagers Intentionally Hurt Themselves.Why?

Have you ever heard of teenagers cutting themselves on purpose,so bad that they sometimes have to get scars or masks on their body!And i read that the number of teenagers who do this is slowly increasing everyday! I personally saw this happend before!I had a classmate in high school who always tries to hurt himsefl by cutting his own hand whenever he feels sad,feels helpless,feels powerless,have difficulty in daily life!I asked him the reasons for this and he told me that:he is too overwhelmed with life’s problems!this is the only way that he knows to deal with them.By cutting himsefl,it gives him relief,make he feel better!
