Snuggies and egg crackers

Richard got the girls snuggies for Christmas. They're those blanket things with sleeves. They love them except that Naomi has been grumbling that she would rather have had a blue or a green one. So yesterday he was at a book fair at work and he saw them again and they had a blue one. So, silly man that he is, he figured he would give Naomi's red on to Cary and give her the blue one. Are you kidding? First of all, blue is his favorite color, and secondly he doesn't want her hand me downs. Cary latched onto the blue snuggie like a barnacle. I don't think it's been off of his body since. He wears it like a robe, with the opening in front. I think he kind of looks like Cary, oops I mean Harry, Potter...
Last night we were watching Survivor and this commercial came on. It was for an egg cracker. Yep, you heard it here folks. They are now selling devices that will crack your eggs for you. After all, when you crack eggs the old fashioned way, you "always" get eggshell in whatever you're doing. Or so the commercial claims. How did we ever live without this wonderful device? And if you buy one, you will also get an egg scrambler. Yessir, ladies and gentlemen, this wonderful device will scramble the egg right inside the shell. Then just use your handy dandy egg cracker to get your pre-scrambled egg into the pan with no eggshell bits. As Dearra said, "what will they think of next, an automated butt kicker?"
Welcome to my "as seen on TV" world...

Yeah I have actually seen people walk around the stores in those things. If you go to Walmart they have the local football team ones, but I guess those would be mostly for guys, huh?! Well, that's neat. i bet they're real comfortable. It's going to be nice when it actually warms up though. Springs coming up soon!!

Hello Dawn!
I dont have a snuggies....hell I can make my own but a blanket will do just fine. As for the egg thingy, wow, who needs that....probably a man LOL!! (joke).
I try not to watch those infomercials unless Im bored, have nothing else to do (doesnt happen often) or feel like having a good laugh.
But, it sure sounds like a great way to make money. Now we need to put our heads together to try to sell that butt kicker of yours. It has to be in many colors and work with a remote!!
have a nice day!

You can also scramble the eggs inside the shell by shaking them. However, just a word to the wise--be careful how tight you hold said egg. Else egg may end up all over you, the counter, some droplets in the pan you are preparing for it, and on the floor.
I am most interested in the automatic butt kicker. What infomercial was that on? What channel? What time? What is the toll-free 1800 number? What other freebies come with it? Do I get a sham-wow as well?
I really have to hand it to the inventors though. They are legally and cleverly making a living from these things.

I went to the website Dawnald. There's something about a lamb bake and varicose veins, but no buttkicker. Did they already pull it off the market?

Snuggies are wonderful - LOL - warm and toasty and perfect as a dressing gown when I get up in the morning and it's freezing cold.

I think I remember seeing a drawing of a Rube Goldberg device that allowed one to kick one's own butt...
it was worn like a backpack, and had a mechano "arm" with a boot attached, adjusted to the proper position, and string to pull to activate the butt kicking...

Hi dawnald,
That is getting too much, are people getting too lazy or what, so what about inventing something like, when you wake up in the morning, you press a buton, go for shower, and when you come out breadfast is done, kids are all dressed and eating breakfast, then when you are taking the kids to school, press another button, when you get back all the housework is done, well you may as have all that when you don't have to scramble an egg, lol!

My daughter got me one for Christmas. They are very handy, cause if you want to cozy up and watch TV, a throw just isn't long enough to cover my long legs. I actually made myself one last year. It is really warm. But I made mine more like a long moo moo or something. I can't remember what they're called. There's no opening in the back or front. Just put it over my head.

I have to admit that I really don't understand the snuggie at all. When I first saw them, I really thought that they were more like a housedress or something like that which would wrap all the way around you instead of looking like a reverse bathrobe.
Our family too seems to live in a "As seen on TV" family. The latest that my children have been asking for is a pillow pal. I don't really understand the purpose of them, but it is something that both Kathryn and Paul really want.

They like them, but I guess they would have preferred their favorite colors. Oh well...

well yes I think it boils down to satisfaction and truly liking one's color choice too, else it sits aside eventually right?

The kids sure like them. They're sort of like a loose fitting robe or a blanket with sleeves...
