I keep thinking I hear our old blace cat. This is the one we had for so many years and lost a couple of months ago. He loved the fresh laundry, I always unload the dryer and take the cloths into the bedroom to sort and fold. Everytime I did this he was soon in the middle of those nice warm cloths. Now I feel his presence so strongly that I find myself talking to him, I swear if I looked down and found an impression in the cloths I wouldn't be surprised. Do these things happen to you when you loose a beloved friend?

Hey pat~ I so wish I would see or feel one of my beloved cats!
My cats Jaguar and Cougar both loved to "play" in my freshly
washed clothes too! Whenever I would dump the clothes on the
bed to fold they would both be right there in the middle of
them! I would laugh so hard because they would just be in the
whole mess of clothes while I was folding them! I miss them so
much! And now my two babies Star and Luna want no part of the
laundry! They couldn't care less! So I miss my Jags and Cougar
so much! I wish so many times that they would "show me a sign"
that they were still here in some way, but sadly they don't.

My dog Bandit does that now she loves the clothes right out of the dryer. She would roll around on them or lay on them and go to sleep. I wonder what that is all about. Yes it is very funny. I believe you will see them again.

You will still be conscious of the presence of your beloved pet, and still vry aware of your loss. I felt similar sensations when I lost Gipsy, my lovely little black cat a few years ago. It felt like she was still in the house, still sleeping at the foot of the bed and still playing with her toys. Time will ease those feelings of mourning hun

I think they are animal ghosts alongside human ghosts too. It happened to me once in my present dwelling. This house I am staying now is known to be haunted but have not seen any scary figures since I moved in here 3 years ago. But this incident I experienced is the only one that confirm this place is haunted. One night I was walking down the corridor leading to my bedroom when I suddenly heard a dog following closely behind me panting heavily. As I looked behind, there was no dog. I ran as fast as my two legs could carry me and my hairs stood on ends. My whole body turned ice cold as memories of stories I heard about this place came flooding back.

I have not had that happen with a pet, although every so often I catch a very real scent of my grandmother's powder or my grandpa's sweater. I lost my brother a couple of years ago and he'll come talk to me in dreams. Sometimes I can feel his presence.
I think that the love we leave behind is our "ghost". I don't deny that people can re-visit from wherever they are but the people who love us keep us alive on this plane.
It is so comforting to get those visits, isn't it?

You are still bereaving your pet. Only a few months have passed and it is not easy to forget a long four legged friend. When I lost my rough collie it seemed that I lost almost a son to me. My dog was 12 years and a half and was suffering at the end of his life. But still I kept denying that he was going to go over the rainbow bridge. Some suggested to replace him with another dog of the same breed. I did not wanted to. He was my companion. He was irreplaceable. No other dog can take his place. So I opted to remain without dogs despite that I love them so much. After a year my son and my wife kept nagging me to bring another dog. At that time I was prepared to have another dog. I still think of my previous dog, have photos of him everywhere. Sometimes when I go upstairs where he used to sleep I expect to hear him barking or coming to greet me.... but he never does.

When I first lose a pet (even if I'm not emotionally attached to it) I can see it everywhere in my mind. Its just because my mind is so used to seeing the animal everywhere. Once I greif for it though everything just seems to flow nicely and I don't see the animal anymore. But, until I've let go.... its difficult.
