I am looking for a summer job, but I've never worked before. My only concern is that other peoples have more working experience than me, and it's hard to find a job in today's economy. Any tips/advice for filling out a resume, or just applying for a job in general?

i think that first you should have someone or afew people that know you well enough to refer you to a job. so you really have to know the right people in order to get a job that you are looking for. i think alot of jobs nowadays want all of their employees to have atleast a high school education. that is if you are pursuing a career job. filling out all of your records educational records and personal records. having a way of transportation to and from the job. then looking good and acting good at the job and being serious about the job. then meeting the boss or managers for an interview. all are great ways of getting a job. best of luck.

You have no experience, no training, and no skills;.... have you considered a career in politics? oooohhhh, i'm gonna burn for that one. cash register math is a lot different than school math. restaurants. you will get all the interpersonal knowledge of.... well, people that you need from restaurants. 6 months in a restaurant will teach you discipline, patience, acceptance, it's almost zen-ish in a way. college campus diners hire anyone they can, they need the workers, you need the job. i'm a much older man than i was, and i still work in the service industry. you know the peace corps? the toughest job you'll ever love? the restaurant biz.... the toughest job you'll ever hate, but it does prepare you for the future! ......hmmmm.... too wordy. we'll work on that.
