it is important to save your files everytime you are typing a document in words or excel. but do you have a backup files in case the computer itself corrupted and it can never be recovered?
i have experienced it before that all of my files in the computer was gone because it was infected with virus and the problem was i have no backup, therefore all of my files were gone also. that is why i always have a back up files in our server in case my computer will be infected with virus.
how about you where do you save your backup? or do you have a backup?

We bought an external drive to store those important files that we have. Just in case the computer crash, at least you have a back-up. No matter how reliable our PC is, it doesnt mean it will not crash at one time.

that's a good idea, maintaining a backup doesn't really makes us spend so much but it will give us peace of mind when problems come to the computer we are using. because even how updated and protected our computer from virus it will always have the end and in which we are ready for it.

You are right. It did happened to us at one time that why now we are more careful on storing our files. It also allows you to store confidential files just in case somebody will use your PC and become a little explorative on the content.

Yes, I do have a back up on my files. I have an external disk and all the files that I consider important, I have saved them on my external disk. Aside from that, I have back them up on a CD. So if ever, my laptop fails, and my external disk is damage, I still have one more option.

yes machines can give us the latest and fastest way of keeping our jobs but that is also how fast it destroys our files if we are not careful and so dependent to their capacity. therefore, we need to be fast in thinking what's ahead. they also have life from the time they are manufactured, so they also end at the definite time.

Yeah, i have an external hard drive and all of my important files, document, pictures, song and videos are save on it. Since even the back up disk in my computer built inside is not reliable i decide to have an external hard drive to save all of my collection in case some glitch happen so it may be good i have back up copy for future uses and references.

Yes, fortunately for me I have a somewhat obsessive-neurotic brother who nags me to back up my files (probably because he's the one who has to rescue them), and so to keep him quiet, I back-up my files, including the ones in my smartphone. I use the camera function a lot, so I back them up when I can.

I use an external hard drive. I set it to backup the files I want to save on a regular basis. You can partition your hard drive and use one for backup but in that case you will still lose everything if there is physical damage to your hard drive. An electrical problem could destroy all the partitions. If you are going to copy files to a disk, get a DVD drive. Never mind CDs; they will not hold much. You can copy a ton of stuff to a single DVD.

Yes, I have a backup of all my files in case my laptop might be infected by virus. The files stored in my laptop are all precious ones. Some are materials related to my work and some are photos of my family. I experienced computer breaking down only once. That was when I was in college and there was a very horrible virus spread on the internet. I thought I was careful enough, but it turned out that all the four hard disks were infected by virus and all the files had to be deleted. What's worse, my term paper was deleted too and I had to write again, which really took a long time. You can imagine how angry I was. Ever since then, I made a backup of all my files .

thanks for sharing your experienced. have a nice day.

I know very well how unstable computers can be, so I always keep one or two backups of all my files.
Hard drives have a defined life, and it seems to be different for each one, so you can really never know when it comes to computer science related things . I recommend everyone to always keep a backup of their files.

I'm generally prety good of making sure I have a back up of any files that I might use or need. Having something ready is always good in case. I have all my stuff either uploaded somewhere or on a portable memory card. When this one fills up I'll buy a new one. They are fairly cheep and 2 gb isn't half bad.

Yes it is really important to have a backup in case our computer will collapse or will be infected with virus. It will be a big regret on our part if we failed to maintain a backup. That is why it is wise to save important files to a portable memory card or flash drives.

Yes, I do have a backup in my external hard disk as I am afraid of such situations especially if my pc is down completely, I don't want stuffs that I have created over the years to go down just like that.
Seeing some of my friends who lost their stuffs completely because they didn't backup, I find it so upsetting if I placed myself in their shoes. Thus, it's good to backup your files once in a blue moon but definitely not everyday.

Well..i need to save my files and i always do backup. Though i have all anti virus stuffs, still i have problem with virus. So on safer side, i take back up. I sometimes copy them on my work cds, thumbdrives..so i can carry them and thats the best way in case of any problem with my system.

Backup files on any computer is a must, if you intend to keep those files for important moments, then create backups won't be a bad idea.
I have a My Book external hard drive, its 1TB storage is plenty for the time being. I save all my movies and musics on there, as well as important documents.
It actually saved my back one time, a while ago my desktop got eaten up by a virus that couldn't be killed, therefore restore is the only choice. Most of the files will becoming unusable after the fix, so I have to transport them from the external drive once the work is complete. Thanks to the backup everything is back to normal, and I'll keep backingup files, in case something like this happens again.
Backup files won't hurt you a bit, and it might save your back one day.

it is really a wise idea to keep a back up of our files because like what happened to you, if you don't have a backup then it would cause you a big problem especially if the files are very important.
thus, backup is very important if you keep important documents in your computer. don't let it a hassle on your part because sooner or later you will need it for your own benefit.
thanks a lot for sharing your idea.

I realise how important it can be to back up files but i tend not to and i don't really know why. Ive never really lost any important files tbefore so one day i might and that will be a lesson to me to start backing up. I now have a 250 gb external hard drive so i may start :)
