We have application which run only on 64 bit, some only in 32 or even 16.
Why can't we custom made with programmable logic some whopping 256 bit computer.
Thank you for answering.

the development of computer is very fast, but as far as i know ,the time the 32-bit computer replace the place the 16bit is very long .so the 64bit

AS far as I know they are already working on it. Of course it is not meant for ordinary users. The vision is to have a more compact supercomputer for use in certai organisations like the intelligence agency, government, and science community. If I am not mistaken the current issue with its developoment is stability, and having a werious program capable of utilising the full power of 256 bit computing.
Imagine the power and speed. Unfortunately it is not coming to the average user in the near future.

The issue is that, we haven't fully harness our 32 and 64 bits computer, so then why develop another type if we could do relatively all tasks with already existed tools.

Don't you think that would have to be one huge processor or mighty powerful? All those bits would put preasure on the cpu making it work harder giving it the poticinal to ware out faster. Its not pratical to do things that way. What we have, is fine and mighty powerful enough we don't need something like that in this world.
