Hi pollon, With champion league match so close with league games, I think Jose Mourinho put his priority to face Chelsea. Even though they lost to Catania, they still lead Serie A with 59 point, 4 point more then AC Milan in the second place (AC Milan has one game in hand). After winning 2-1 in San Siro, Jose Mourinho would not risk his star player to play in the league. He knew how tough the game in Stamford Bridge would be. He want his players to be fresh and try to defend their small advantage. Mourinho definitely prefer Champion League over Serie A title because they already won 3 times in row. But they never won the new brand of European cup, Champion League.

And this was the best result that AC Milan could hope for. After their defeat at the hands of Man U, they can only hope at the Scudetto and Inter's loss makes it a one point game. So this title race will go to the wire. For Inter though I think Champions League was in their minds. The match against Chelsea is going to be a real big one for them as they have often been successful in the league, but poor in the Champions League. This season with a real chance now available against Chelsea, I think that is where their priority lies. Cheers! Ram
