ritual before writing

For me like many others I am sure, a lot of it for me, depends on the type of mood I am in more than anything else. Because a lot of times what I tend to write about could be due to something happening to me in my life, or past experiences, or just something else I feel worth sharing or talking about. Even when starting New discussions in here, it is the same way as well.

I don't really think that I have one. Sometimes I turn on some fantasy soundtracks (Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia... etc.) before I start writing, but really that's about it. Sleep in a coffin? That sounds pretty scary to me, but I guess if it helps them to write I can't complain. I probably wouldn't step near one though.

I connect with nature - - my favorite is feeding the ducks. When I am writing well, the ducks around here get so fat they have trouble flying. Connecting with nature gives me the chance to put things into perspective and to put my thoughts into a grander scheme of things.

Well that really depednd on what Im writing. If its mylott its just based on a list that I make daily on topics I want to make disscussions on so theres really no ritual involved. If it's a writing peice for english then I need to watch tv, be on the compiter or be doing something else that interests me to get the best results that I can. Then if its for myself or a contest or somethign I tend to take my time a little and depending on my mood will depend ion the ritual I choose: I may watch tv, work on the computer, listento music, talk to friends and family or be in total silence and just flow with the words.
