Hi...just wondering besides Open Office, is there any other software which provides similar operations to Microsoft Office? Its quite burdensome to purchase it for people who does not have enough cash to have it. Open Office is not quite as powerful as Microsoft.

I'd recommend visiting http://www.corel.com/ depending which features of office you use, Corel offers a package of WordPerfect & QuattroPro for less than $100.00. They also offer free trials through their website.

Lotus Smartsuite is a very good alternative, and the price is certainly more realistic.
I used Lotus Smartsuite Millenium edition for a while, and the composite programs are the same format as Microsoft Office. The package contains Lotus 123 as a spreadsheet, Lotus Word Pro as the word processor and a wonderful program called Lotus Organizer which will prove to be very useful. Even after returning to Microsoft, I kept Organizer for a while due to it's first class calendar facilities.
If you buy a second hand copy which is a few years old you should be able to but one quite cheap.
