Hello Friends, This has been a rough week for my family. It might even be the toughest week of our lives... My beloved grandmother, has been in and out of the hospital these past few years due to her gastric ulcer. Aside from being diabetic. She was confined again last February 13 and went through an endoscopy procedure and biopsy. She was discharged from the hospital after a week. After two weeks of waiting, the result of her biopsy was finally released. It turned out she has.... GASTRIC CANCER. My world came crashing down. I couldn't believe this is happening to us. I wanna wake up from this bad dream. I love my grandmother so much, she's my only living grandparent left. And I am her favorite grandchild. It hurts me so much to receive this unfortunate news. The doctor said she needs surgery as soon as possible, and after she that, she'll have chemotherapy. My grandma is 76 years old. My concern is her health, I really hope she'll survived the surgery and chemotherapy. I want her to live a longer life free from sickness, to see me when I got married someday and even hold my future children. I am so scared for her and I needed to be strong in front of her and my family. Me and my family needs prayers for my grandma... Dear Mylot friends, Please do pray for my beloved grandma and my family. We really need everyone's support and prayers right now. Thank You everyone.

Hello onlyprincess, I guess I do feel what you are feeling now. I've been in a kind of situation too, but do not lose hope my friend... I know God will protect your Lola. He would carry her. He won't forsake her. Just continue to be supportive. And Please do not show her that you are so sad. Make her alive. Do not let her feel the pain. Let her feel the joy with you as her sweet Apo. Try to paint a smile on he face, that can help her ease herself. And do not worry, we are just here. Always extending our arms wide open to help pray for her fast recovery. Do you believe in a miracle? My friend I believe on it!!!! Open your heart to receive His grace! He would grant your prayer! Expect me to pray for her too!!! God bless you Prime

I remember now princess. That's good, show her happiness... make her even laugh by that poker face! Now, it's just right to hide from her your tears, oh, that's natural. Don't keep that inside you. You can even shout inside your room or inside the shower when no one can hear you. That is important. Share your sorrow now to the wind. Never keep that inside! Just consider it a test princess, oh the final test in the college, that was too difficult too! You are taking that test now! That's a nightmare too! As soon as you would finish answering it, oh, you can breath from the lungs at last!!!! And above all, that Faith in God will help you and guide you. We here are always keep on praying for your LoLA!!!!!

Oh Prime, I'm just telling you weeks ago about her, and the day I feared most has come. I'm so sad right now.. But you're right, I don't show her my sadness. I put on a poker face everytime I face her and my family. But late at night, I would just burst into tears. It seems so unreal, I'm still waiting to wake up from this bad dream. Reality bites. I won't lose hope, coz I have strong faith in God and I do believe in miracles. Let's continue to pray for her fast recovery. Thanks so much my friend.

Fear not, we will all pray for you. My 70 year old grandfather had kidney+liver failure in his body, we sent him to one of the best hospitals in the US of A, Mayo Clinic, they told us that it's better for us to just pull the plug since he wasn't going to survive till he gets a new matching kidney and liver and that hundreds of thousands of dollars would just be wasted on him for nothing. Yet he managed to go through the whole operation and he is still living to this day. Just remember that the lord is with you and your whole family.

My Dad, too, got very ill when he was in his 70s - ge lived to be 81, but it was hell at the end. He was in agony, and both he and my mum said - it isn't always better for hospitals to go on trying to cure you. I hope your grandmother fares better - he, admitedly, was in a hospital with a poor reputation in the Uk.

Hey, im sorry to hear about your grandma :( I also have gastrointestinal problems and its really hard. I have to watch what I eat alot, and even then, its not totally solved yet. From chinese medicine literature, these foods may help: buckwheat, castor bean, cardomom, peach, radish, cayenne, grapefruit, basil, tea, tomatos, asian dandelion I drink chamomile tea, that helps with inflammation. I hope you spend alot of time with your grandma and give her your kind thoughts and support and that will make it easier for her. Love to you, your family, and your grandma.

I am very sorry to hear about your grandmother. I can easily relate to your situation because my own grandmother has recently been diagnosed with cancer in the liver and in the gall bladder. She has decided that she doesn't want surgery or chemotherapy. Her illness has been a big shock to all us, because she used to be very healty and very lively, and she has never been seriously ill before. It seems sort of unreal that she has suddenly become really ill, and it is very sad. I hope that your grandmother will get well again, and I will pray for her.

hi onlyprincess, its 2 years now since i lost my grandmother because of liver cancer. she is 82 years old that time when we finally knew that she has liver cancer and its too late. the doctor told us if she's undergo operation we will never know if she can make it or not and beside she is 82 and the doctor also refuse my grandmother to undergo operation. then it is so hard to see her suffering. all we could do is let her go and pray for her. i know how hard to lost a grandmother but if you think she can make it just pray, but if its really her time then just accept it although i know its so hard to accept it. hope that she will make it if she undergo in surgery and chemotherapy. i will also pray for her. be strong.

So very sorry Princess. I lost my mother 19 years ago at the age of 79. As much as I wanted to keep her with me it was all up to her and what she wanted. She had chemo, and then they decided she needed radiation. In my opinion it wasn't the best thing for her. Sometimes when we love someone so much all we think about is keeping them with us. We forget that when they get older and have seen and been through so much that maybe they are just tired and ready to go home. Just love her as long as you can.
