My dad barely started to teach me today how to drive and I was really terrified it was certainly terrifying for me. I now know how to do my turns well, but I still do not know how to reverse this is really difficult for me. How long did it take you to learn to drive?????

hello! I took me about one and a half or two months, i mean to learn drive very good at the driver school, because we can learn drive for a week or two, but if we want to learn good observing all the rules, then I think we really need some more time, because we can't learn all the rules from the traffic ordinance just in a week!

It is really hard to drive usually for the first time. I learned how to drive when I was 13 years old. I was scared at first because my brother was the one who taught me how to drive. He was confident in teaching me the basics. Then, three days after I was able to drive a bit confidently.
It is still a learning curve and process for me. I am 24 years old now and still gets a lot of learning through my everyday driving.

I got driving an automatic down in a few months. My dad took me to a community college on the weekend, so there was lots of areas to drive and no cars to hit. It did take me a long time to get driving a manual down. I still don't really feel confident in it, but I could manage if I really had to.

Hi,
As one above suggested, I would highly reccomend that you get a proffesional instructor, sure they cost a bit but trust me it is worth it. Proffesional instructors are trained to train you to pass your test how the examiner wants you to drive. That is the key part. Sure, your dad might be able to teach you how to drive, but can he teach you how to do it there way? Soon, you will start to see that the way that they want you to drive is just silly, and you will forget all the strict rules once you pass your test.
Also, I bought a theory test program (For the computer) and I highly reccomend one! They are great, explain everything, show you everything in pictures, the one I had had all the possible questions you could be asked, so you can be well prepared. Also on the program that I got it had videos of driving tests, and lessons too, so you could prepare in advance of a lesson.
I wish you best of luck in your driving :)
Lee.

it's funny. Back when I was young my dad try to teach me how to drive and believe me it took forever. He's nervous, and his nervousness not helping me out at all,...so I just get one of those driving instructor, figure they already have tons experience teaching people to drive. Voila only took me 8 hours to be a good and safe driver.
