as per my views are concern swimming is the best exercise for whole body .it increase heart capacity to pump the blood more efficiently and constantly,it increase muscles power specially pectoralis major,serratus anteriar ,thigh muscles ,and strengthened joint muscles. so go for swimming daily and keep yourself healthy .

Wow I like how you explain it. That is totally true that it will help you to be more flexible. Aside from that at least your body won't sweat but then it is also good to sweat especially when you are burning fats.

swimming in still pool water is quite different from in water of life as ocean or river water. the latter is more demanding and thrilling, which i enjoy the most.

I think running does the same thing. Well, in fact, I think all sports related activities does that as well. The only problem I see about swimming is the quickness of our body to develop fat and bulges once we stop exercising. It's an after effect from strenuous exercise and sudden stop of such activities.
But I must agree, swimming is great because of the coolness of the water. But it's not great though when you get sunburn due to swimming in midday.
