Your friend started a new discussion on myLot! - but where?

The new layout of Mylot is great and I really enjoy getting an email to let me know that a friend has started a new discussion. The trouble is that the links to the discussion don't work, Alice!
Well, they do with a bit of modification. The trouble is caused by the lack of a space in the code which means that the word after the link is added to the link, thus:-
respond to this discussion [http://www.mylot.com/nr/newresponse.aspx?qid=2273980]view this discussion
Without the space after the square bracket of the link and the word 'view', the link carries on till the next space after the word 'view'. With 'view' tacked on to the end of the link you are sent to a 404 error page which, by the way, is very funny and well worth going to anyway! But it is not really where you wanted to go.
The answer for us users is easy. Just copy the link from your email into the address bar of your browser and then delete the last word till you are left with the last digit of the discussion ID#. The link will now work.

hi smackman,
Mine is okay. I mean, the link is working perfectly fine. Well, every time I receive a "new comment" notifier, I always get "two" (embedded) link to choose from, these are view the comment on myLot and view this entire discussion on myLot. My browser is chrome and I'm on yahoo mail and it is working with no hassle at all.

Well it must be me that is different.
Here is another email I've just received and the links are wrong again. I'll remove the http with ** so that it doesn't show as a link in Mylot.

so the 'view' and the 'Do' are added to the links which stops them from working for me.

See post #2 above - it is viewing my mails in text only format that is causing the problem. If I view in HTML then the links work fine.

Hi there and thanks for the feedback. The whole problem is caused by having my email client set to show mails in text only and not in html. In html the links work fine.
