pin number reversal (good to know)

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, u can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse. For ex: if ur pin # is 1234 then u would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that ur pin # is backwards from the ATM. The machine will still give u the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you. This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is seldom used because people don't know it exists.

I have heard that before, too. I wonder about its authenticity, or if it is an urban legend.
I mean, why wouldn't our bankers tell us this when we activate the debit card?

I was thinking the same thing...you think that would be information that would be shared with us.

Yes, I saw this on a cop show several years ago. Like America's Most Wanted or something like that. But I would like to hear of someone actually using it. It is some great information and news casters or bank reps sould put it out to the public so they are aware and they don't forget.
