I just saw a commercial for the new scary movie to be relaesed in theatres: shutter island, and i notice that leonardo dicaprio is in it and all I have to say is: is his career done with now? Ive been a huge fan of Leo's for my entire life and have had more than a little crush on him but Im starting to wonder if he just isnt cut out for hollywood anymore because his movies are seeming to go downhill (for the last few years) for me. What do you think?

I really do think that Leonardo Dicaprio is a good actor. I've enjoyed quite a few movie that he's played in. I don't think that his career is over. I think that he's got the potential to be around for quite a while. I have a feeling that he's not done acting and performing in movies yet.

I think Leonardo Dicaprio is a very good actor. One of my favorit movies he starred in was The Departed. He was also good in the Titanic, Aviator, Catch me if you can. I read the book Shutter Island, and saw the movie. The movie was excellent in my opinion. Leonardio's performance was awesome!

The Departed, Gangs of New York, Blood Diamond, and now Shutter Island.
I would put his work post Titanic against his pre Titanic films any day.
If he had only done thr Departed since Titanic I would still think he was a worthwhile bet in Hollywood.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot the Aviator.
This kids not even close to being done in Hollywood.

ha? he's one of the most legit and popular actors in Hollywood and only play in very selective movies that has great directors and script. He already received some osca nominees for his work post Titanic. how can it said his career went downhill? He handles his career very good, I'll take him over orlando bloom, robert pattinson (his post twilight movies were all disastrous in BO), or Josh hartnett...that is the case of a career that went downhill

Are you really a huge fan of Leonardo??? If you are you should know films like The Departed. He is still a great actor and Shutter Island looks a great film. I am seeing it on Wednesday.

Hello artsyfartsygypsy,
I like Leo alot. He sometimes falls in the movies he may have one or two and then goes aways for few years and then comes back to be stronger. If he feels he cannot contribute in the big films he will take a rest and go away for ahile till something inspires him again. He has enough money where he can do this. I agree he should be very choosy on the scripts I wonder if he is being hounded by directors because of his big name and movie industry floundering not very big movies out there to capture the audience anymore. We rent DVD's or buy them in our family.
He is uusally very good actor or one of my favroties and my daughters too.
Thanks and have a good day

I think Leo is still pretty well known and definitely has the potential to become as popular as he used to be. He just needs to do the right things and choose the right movies. I don't think his career is done. He can still get back up to the top!

I think he has done some pretty good roles for the last decade.Movies like Catch me if you can, The Departed and Blood Diamonds I think are among his best. Leo is no longer credited only because his handsome, but because he can play. I hope and I know that his future characters will be even better.
